I have been installing pioneer units for 10 years now and I have seen this happen before. You will have to take it out and send it in for repair. You are haveing a loading problem and the software in your unit has to be reinstalled.

I can only get my cell phone to connect to my stereo as an audio device. It won't let me change the setting to handsfree. I can makeeceive calls but I can't hear anything and they can't hear me. How do I fix it? It sometimes works, but it then goes back to the initial issue.

This is the Cheapest manual i could find. Haynes and other selling the same Manual for more than $50.
