that happened when i first got my mp4. i just left it on charge for a few hours and eventually it turned on. it should tell you when its fully charged.theres two ways mine can turn on; (its most likely very different to yours though)theres a little switch on the top of the player and you flick that to the left side. or if its been turned on recently, you can hold the play button. does the instructions say to press the ok button?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

According to you your MP3 player is not working for battery. Make sure the charger is OK and working fine. You can change or replace the battery. Your battery circuit unit may be faulty. You can try to charge it in turn off mode of the player. If it is new unit then the player is in warranty. Then you can go to the nearest service center or your retailer for repairing or replace.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Hi. Computer is not detecting the MP3 player based on the facts that you mentioned. Are you using driver software for that gadget? If yes, try reinstalling the driver of that gadget. Try to insert the gadget to a different usb slot. You may also try using other computer just to test if the Mp3 player is working with other computer.

My Archos 1 Vision. Wont play a particular music file. It has played it amazingly fine since i bought it 3 months ago. It was connected to my computer charging for a while, then i turned my system off so it was off for a while.
Wanted to listen to a few songs before bed,turned it on,selected Music,Scrolled down to the file i wanted,Went to select a song.........FROZEN! I can turn it off but the same thing happens everytime i go to select something from this file
Please help i need music on my travels ;-)

mavericks is finicky. what machine can you connect it to? try reinstalling iTunes. be sure to back up your music and files first.

try upgrading firmware.

If you have or can get a lend of another cable for it, try it incase your cable is bad.I have went through 5 for my 604 as they just stop working out of the blue and getting a new one sorted it.
