Do you have all connections hand tight? Are you getting an error message on the screen? What type of cable are you using to connect to the TV, Coax or RCA?


If you're not getting an error message what type of cable are you using? If it's a Coax Cable, you will want to make sure the TV is on channel 3 or 4. If you're using an RCA Cable, you will need to check the Input channel.

Hey jpboward!

I can definitely help you with this. Our receivers do a nightly update, by default around 3 AM in the morning. This can be changed on most receivers from Menu > Preferences > Updates. On the 922, it can be found on Menu > Settings > Updates. If you have any other questions, let me know!

Have you tried unplugging from the mains for about 1min,then plug back in and try again,use first time installation for retune.

Let's try a few steps on this! Make sure your video cables are tight in both the receiver and TV. If they are, try replacing the cable or using a cable you know works and see if the problem is fixed.

If it still continues, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in. Do any other devices have this same issue? Is it only on a few channels, or all?

Opening the receiver case will void the warranty on the equipment. If you are having problems with your receiver, you can call 1-800-333-3474 and speak with Technical Support so they can troubleshoot with you. I hope this helps.

With a DTV Pal, once you scan for your local channels and add them to the receiver, those are the only channels you have available to view. The local channels available are dependent upon your distance from the broadcast towers. I hope this helps.

Does the DISH remote work without the emitter? If it does work, then the problem is associated with the emitter. If it doesn't work, do you have fresh batteries in the remote? If you do have fresh batteries, you may need a new remote.
