You may be trying to connect through a G or B device to your N router. Verify that there are no serious obstructions or that the pc is not underneath something or enclosed. Metal near the pc can cause the signal to lose strength. Not having a wireless N card or adapter can also cause this.

Also if you are trying to connect through ethernet cable verify that windows is being assigned an automatic ip address, if it is static in windows change it to automatic.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. you don't need a pin number, just go to the setup page of your router > wireless > wi-fi protected setup and disable.

I have had this happen to me a few times. Usually it is the video card/driver. By KVM I assume you mean a KVM switch that goes to both computers, so you can switch between them? I have had trouble with them, too, so try putting the VGA straight to the monitor and see.

Call your internet provider. They can get you that information or erase the password so you can change it after you convince them who you are. They are real picky when it comes to divulging information, so don't get upset when they ask a lot of questions.

Wrong or corrupt file. Try downloading the firmware file again.

If you want to reset your wifi so you need to press wifi reset button click on it and hold about 20 seconds.
