HOW DO I FIND THE
Hi,
Built in webcams are usually located at the very top of the Toshiba laptop. The laptop will have pre-installed webcam software you can use to operate the webcam.
In Windows go to Start > Programs or All Programs and look for any software with webcam in the title. Start it and this will allow you to use the webcam. If you are using Windows 7 you can click Start and in the search box type "webcam"

On boot up I can
Reseat the memory and try it again. If it still doesn't work, what do you hear for the hard drive? Does it just whir to a full spin up, or does it chunk n klunk?

I have the toshiba L305d and the screen stopped
If you have a monitor, you can test the graphcs by connecting it to the rear vga of the laptop.
If you then get a picture it can be
1/ loose connection behind screen where the cable goes into the back of the screen.
2/ invertor needs replacing
3/ screen (unusual for screen to go unless it has a hair crack, but does happen.)
Removing /replacing screen is easy enough,
Generally--
there will be screws under some round sticky covers in all corners- perhaps more where catch is.
Then there are screws on each side of the screen to release the screen from the hinge bars.
The invertor is usually at the base of the screen and usually fixed by 2 small screws, and connected via small plugs with leads to screen/motherboard-
It is rarely the screen cable, but this justs fits into rear of screen, and then will plug into the motherboard (often has a small earth lead fixing to base plate with small screw.
Good luck.
