My screen jumps and is full of lines

Step 1: An inverter is an electrical device on the bottom of your laptop screen. The job of the inverter is to convert DC electrical current to AC voltage to maintain power to the backlight lamp. If the display on your laptop is dark but working, odds are the inverter or the lamp are at fault. When troubleshooting monitor problems on a laptop, you may need to evaluate the inverter to determine which of the two parts is malfunctioning. Remove the screen bezel on your laptop. The bezel is the piece of the computer casing that surrounds and protects the LCD screen. To remove the bezel, remove the screws around the screen. Bezel removal method may vary by model. Once the screws come out, the bezel should pop off. The inverter will be under the screen. Attach the positive probe (+) of a multimeter to the pin 1 on the inverter. The inverter has two connections, one on each end. With the laptop screen facing you, look at the left side of the inverter. Pin 1 is the top metal flange pointing to the right. Secure the negative probe (-) of the multimeter to any bare screw. There should be a screw securing the inverter to the laptop that will be perfect for the negative ground connection. Turn the laptop on to test the inverter. Turn the multimeter on and check the multimeter reading. If the display records voltage going to the inverter, such as 19 V DC, the inverter power supply is working. Turn the laptop off. Unplug the LCD inverter connection on the right side of the inverter. This disconnects the backlight from the inverter. Plug a working backlight to the connection on the right side of the inverter. Turn on the laptop. If the screen lights up, the backlight lamp is bad but the inverter works. If the screen remains dark, the inverter is bad.

Cannot connect wirelessly to the

Hi ! When did the begin? For this one try this solution steps. First check if the other computer or device like cellphone can connect wireless from your router. If it is . Then check on the device manager and look for "Network Adapter" click on + to show the drop down and check if there is no yellow (!) or (?) on the wireless card. If there is a yellow(!) It means that their is conflict with the other device and you have to uninstall and install the wireless card driver again. If yellow (?) then install the driver for it. DRIVER > is a software that you need to install in order for the software and hardware to communicate with each other. Now if there is no problem in device manager you can move forward to the other step. Second is close the device manager click on START > Look for the "search" or "run" box type in there now CMD and hit enter. After that it will show you blank screen table. Now type in there Ipconfig /all and hit enter. Look for the first 3 numbers like 192.xxx.xxx. or 169.xxx.xxx Ipv4 address /Ip address. If you have 192.xxx It is a good indicator that your computer is already connected the internet. So close the CMD now and go to your web browser "internet explorer" click on TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS >>> on the screen you will there GENERAL TAB and others > Look for ADVANCE TAB and on the bottom there is two option Restore to defaults or RESET button. Now Click on the RESET button and allow Internet explorer to reset . Click yes to continue. Most of the time it will work. Please make sure to check the wireless capability is on or the wireless button is not disabled. Hope above steps will work for you. God Bless.

Hi. We have à Dell

I would run a Check disk utility to check for errors in system files. Try running Scandisk or CHKDSK/F if they are loaded, if not go online and download CheckDisk, exe. Make sure it is for your OS otherwise it may not work properly.
Hope that helps.

MY KEYBOARD IS MAKING A NOISE WHEN ANY KEY IS

It sounds like 1 of your keys is stuck down or faulty.
turn off, turn the laptop upside down and GENTLY tap the keys, run your fingers over all of the keys and gently shake.
Lots of bits can get stuck under the keys and cause this type of problem, a can of air(air duster) works well also

Yup go to safe mode, and choose system restore... follow instructions and select a time prior to when you had a problem. finish off and your PC should be all working again. Startup PC, press F8 at instant of turn on... choose Safe Mode. when you are asked if you want safe desktop or system restore choose restore, when you get to the restore menu, choose a date BEFORE you had problems there may only be one or two to choose from. just follow the instructions and you should be back to working with all that behind you.

How do you install a hard drive

Larry provides great answer up there ^^^ which is better down here. Larry Ng Jun 23, 2022 NO PC told (dell has 10000 models) no OS told, windows what"? no drive told. my wild wild guess is the boot drive is locked. and you are attempting and ******* act. to it. like deleting key parts of a running OS (windows) (like deleted tires on rims of 85mph moving car, fails) no real goal told, but the nebular "install HDD" one can add a 2nd drive easy or any of 1000s of external HDD models or external or internal, SSD or even a thumb drive. (vast) (just 2 steps in fact) but the boot drive , change out is far far far more complex. and you never not told that. you want to mess with the C: drive? now let me guess the real goal (sad I must) the OS drive windows is failing ( common) and some lil' bird told you it needs a new boot drive, and then fail to say so here. okay I will bite. 1: buy a new SSD (hdd fail and are slow) 2: buy a new OS, from MS. or get free w10. (ask how) 3: then put in new SSD, 4: run the w10 installer media (it is free) 5: load w10 to the SSD fresh 6: answer the silly 30 questions it asks. 7: and click activate. (buy it) ..
