Re-Set the control panel
if you are getting blinking lights on your console you may want to open up the door and visually look inside of the middle portion of your console and you'll observe an opening. this opening is where the latch and strike comes together to enaged power to the power board. you can take a butter knife and press the latch hooks downward. when you press the latch hooks(located on the latch then look at the front side of your console panel (at the same while holding the butter knife inside the latch keeping the latch hooks press down, press a wash cycle (normal, rinse, potspans, etc) and see if there is any more flashing. If not, then there is a bad connection with the latch.
Dishwasher does not want to drain
Make sure that the draining-hose is clean .... Try to put the draining-hose downwards .... it is possible that the pomp can not push the water high enough .... if the hose runs downwards ... gravity will help !

Check the motor pump housing for an obstruction on the impellor. Impellors can go bad and not actually churn the water around the way they are supposed to.
No water inside
your bottom spray arm has holes where the water shoots through , make sure they are not clogged.Check upper spray arm also, remove any matter that is blocking the openings and run rinse aid through your D/W at all times. Hint : Glass Magic is a D/W product out in Markets ,if you can run that through the D/W your going to save alot of headaches . Please rate this !

what sani-rinse does is turn the heater back on in the rinse cycle. You first should check the heater for voltage either at the start of the first cycle or do a ohms check.

It could be a firm clog in the exit hose but you should be able to hear the pump running during the last portion of the wash & rinse cycles.
If you don't, then the pump has likely failed.
Loud Screaming!!
Try turning the impeller by hand (one finger should do it) with the machine off to see if you can feel any drag on it.
This thing should turn very easy and rotate a little on its own if you spin it up a bit. They are normally not directly driven but propelled into rotation by the force of the water which is dependent on a recirculating pump
If it shudders to a stop, the primitive 'bearing' may be worn requiring replacement.

With registration, you can probably get a download of your manual (user guide) here:
http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/
It may not contain the info you need since appliance service people hate do-it-yourselfers and, in my mind, manufacturers collude with them.
Can you believe that many TVs, radios, PC monitors etc. once came with complete circuit diagrams?
Kenmore Dishwasher #587.... doing nothing but heat dry
The problem appears to stem from the float and float switch. The float is a mushroom shaped plastic part that resides on the bottom left, just inside the door. It appears that the float does not release the float switch, causing the dishwasher to think it is full of water, and won't allow the dishwasher to fill. It's a relatively straight forward repair, but even with a new part, the same scenario is likely to repeat itself until the float or float switch is modified by Kenmore.

Exactly, if the heater is not defective, please do not replace it. I am aware that the owners manual says that if you have the clean light to flash then the heating element may be defective. More times than not the heating element is not defective but the controls can be reset and you can send the unit through a diagnostic test to find out what may be defective.
