My coby tv shows a black screen with a purple tool looks like a nut/bolt icon. I tried to restore to default setting but nothing changed.
Failing internal tests. It's telling you to call for service. since you have that picture, it is not power or screen. Most TVs have one circuit board.

How do I run a channel auto scan on a Coby TV?
It will be in the setup menu. I believe with the Coby there is an initial setup screen which will guide you through.

I can’t find the T con board on my Coby TFTV 4025 LCD tv. From what I can tell there is only the Mainboard, Powerboard and Inveterboard. Does anyone have any pictures of where this board is located?
Reason you can't find it is there isn't one, on some low end TV's like this one they build it into the panel board to save a buck or 2 so if the tcon has issues the set will need to be recycled
