Hi,
this may not solve the cause of the problem, but may by-pass it:
can you try to use pucks with the rinsing agent already included in it ?
I ask this because we had water remaining on the dishes, and realized we had not filled the rinse agent reservoir for a while, and also had stopped using pucks which contained some rinse agent already. There was water streaking down on the front door under the vent opening. I almost dismantled the door unnecessarily until I realized that the problem was caused by lack of rinse agent (none in reservoir and none in pucks). I know they say you should test if the vent fan motor works, but it is so quiet that you can’t tell for sure. So I would try to ensure that there is rinse agent present during wash by using the detergent that contains some. Cleaning the reservoir and its tubing (I.e.: dismantling the door...) should be a last resort.

This is caused by the impeller being clogged or the pump is failing, When the pump is woring properly the water will shoot out with force.

There is a couple things that could cause this.
Since it works most of the time, I would say that it is getting power. If you press the start button and nothing happens, then I would first test the door switch with an ohmmeter. They can go bad. Have seen it quite a few times.

Most possible causes of machine not working is:
Power from the house Is there power getting to the dishwasher? This can be difficult to test, because dishwashers are usually wired directly to an electrical circuit, rather than plugged into the wall. But at least check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it. Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors. Timer or selector switch Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, you need to replace the defective part, because neither of these can be repaired.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi,
Well I would say that the noise is coming from the drum because the drum got dislodged of the drum support rollers. Check the number 44 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram or the roller(s) is worn out. You can find the complete disassembly instructions in the one of my previous posts: No Dryer Heat

At the same time I would recommend to clean the dryer from the lint built up inside.
Please accept the solution if this assisted you.
Thank You for contacting Fixya.com

Kenmore and other Whirlpool manufactured dishwashers have a thermal fuse located inside the operator console. If the fuse blows it will exhibit the symptoms you describe. It cannot be reset and must be replaced. If you post back with your model number I can confirm how your dishwasher is configured and maybe provide you with a part number.

check it has salt in the bottom tank. check the out pipe is not blocked or bent/twisted. check water feed is working and the filter in the line is clear. ( filter is in the machine side of the pipe you need to turn off water and remove the pipe at this end to get to the filter)

You need to remove the arms and check the nylon bushing in the centre. Also check that all of the holes are clean, especially the ones at the outer end as they are the ones that make the arms spin. They should spin freely by hand and not stop for a few seconds.
