Sorry to hear about the issue you are currently facing. Disable the Media Server Connection from the Network Settings as well. Also try making a wired connection from the modem to the PS3 if possible. Use the RCA connections on the tv and if you do not have that of you have a coaxial (cable) connection go and purchase a modulator for your television and hook RCA plugs from PS2 to that hook Coaxial to TV and enjoy the game.

It may be a bad power supply or bad power cord. If you just bought it and it is brand new just go back to were you got it from and exchange it for a new one. If the store doesn't help you then it does have a 1 year warranty on it and you can contact Sony directly and they will set you through the process to get it fixed.

Assuming you're in the US, Sony's website has a lot of the manuals available for download. Go to System settings, Restore Default settings. Follow onscreen instructions.

1. if you look under the console you will see rectangle slot pry open and unscrew the phillips screw "blue color". pull out hdd and reinsert (front of console under the disc slot) put blue screw back in place. attach power cable and switch on. 2. if your'e handy open the whole console clean with compressed air put it back and switch on. thats what i did with the ps3 i found in the dumpster this was even worse than yours because the disc player is not working, fixed it and now watching bd movies on it and play gran turismo 5. good luck on yours.

It means that the motherboard is failing or has failed and needs to be replaced or repaired. You can contact Sony or a privately owned repair center.

Does you tv hav the yellow, red, and white, connectors? If not, then you are out of luck. If you are using the s-video connection, looks like the wire for cable tv, then you need a signal splitter and you should be able to connect your system to your tv.
