Insignia NS-CNV10 Car GPS Receiver Questions & Answers
Accidentally delete the CNAV file
Unfortunately the only real solution is to return this product for another. Insignia does not provide download support in the form of firmware or otherwise for these devices.
There is, however, another solution: These devices run WinCE, and can easily be brought back to a better life with free software like pocketnav or miopocket, The latter being my personal preference.
If you do decide to go this route, the information/download for miopocket is as follows:

Insignia only shows the SD Card Screen now
After 4 days of purchasing my NS-CNV43, I had the same issue (insert SIM Card picture) preventing the full start up / boot up.
The solution was old school, I took a pencil eraser to the contacts on the SIM Card and the Micro SD Card and wha-la (or bingo bango) the GPS unit now works again.
I hope this works for you.

Insignia NS-CNV10 won't start up
First, try resetting your player by inserting a thin tool (such as an unbent paper clip) into the reset port on your GPS navigator. A copy of the owner's manual with schematics can be found at
InsigniaProducts.com, under the Support tab. If resetting the device doesn't resolve the issue, I would recommend visiting the place of purchase to pursue service options.
