Water does not drain
Hi
You can :
Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit
Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
Check timer for not letting the dishwasher pause. ( not all dishwashers )
Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
Check pump impeller for damage.
Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.
Please contact for further clarifications.
Thanks

The motor runs but no water, with water turned on
You could have a possible fill valve problem. Remove the lower kick plate in the front. The fill valve will be located somewhere near the front of the unit on the left hand side. With the circuit breaker turned off, and water supply line turned off, remove the water line to the fill valve and make sure there's nothing obstructing water flow. Sometimes if you use teflon tape you can get a piece of it covering the opening of the line. Or, if you have hard water, you can get corrosive mineral build ups blocking water flow. Carefully remove the electrical connection to the valve and check the connector tabs on the fill solenoid to make sure they aren't corroded. Reconnect everything and try to run the unit with the circuit breaker and water turned back on. I have experienced on a couple of occasion where merely removing the connector and plugging it back in corrected the problem. If the unit still does not fill, you can carefully check for voltage at the fill valve solenoid. You should be able able to get a reading with the plug connected and it should read 120vac. If no voltage is getting to the valve, you have a wiring problem between the valve and the timer. If you have the proper voltage, more than likely you have a bad fill valve. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
Soap door won't open
The rinse aid compartment on my Kenmore Portable dishwasher ( Model 17829) leaks and doesn't hold the solution. It seems to have done this for longer then I can remember. What can be the problem?

Go to Sears.com if you have a Kennmore. Under "parts," you can input your model number, which is found on the inside of the washer on the side, and then search for the part. It even has a diagram you can pull up. Unfortunately, this part for mine, and probably yours will only be available by purchasing the entire hose outfit, (about $65).
Dishwasher sending out bubbles
There is a plastic strip that runs between the lower panel and the upper panel you can pull the strip off then take the outer panel and cardboard out you will see the rinse dispenser there. open the door and take the rinse cap off the dispenser and push all of the plastic tabs in at once and pop the dispenser out. now you can clean out the dispenser and put things back together.
Soap door won't open
The detergent cup itself can become clogged with old dried detergent that prevents it from opening. Sometimes just cleaning the cup takes care of the problem.
In case it will not solve your problem, the unit should be replaced.
Good luck!
Dishwasher isn't filling with water
It sounds like your Kenmore dishwasher is having an issue with water not filling up in the tub. There could be a few different reasons why this is happening.
One possibility is that the dishwasher's water inlet valve is malfunctioning. This valve controls the flow of water into the dishwasher and if it's not functioning properly, it could be preventing water from entering the tub. You may need to replace the water inlet valve in order to fix the issue.
Another potential cause could be a clogged or dirty filter screen or spray arm. If these parts are not working correctly, it could be causing the water flow to be disrupted, which could lead to the dishwasher not filling with water. Cleaning or replacing these parts could solve the issue.
It's also possible that there's an issue with the dishwasher's float switch. This switch is responsible for monitoring the water level in the tub and if it's malfunctioning, it could be causing the dishwasher to stop filling up with water. You may need to replace the float switch to fix the issue.
Finally, there could be a problem with the dishwasher's control board or timer. If these parts are malfunctioning, it could be causing the dishwasher to stop filling with water or not complete a cycle. In this case, you may need to replace the control board or timer to fix the issue.
It's recommended to check these potential causes one by one until you identify the root cause of the problem. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, you may want to consider contacting a professional appliance repair technician to help you diagnose and fix the issue.
