try pushing heat dry then normal back to back three times. then start. this should clear it up but only temporarily. you have a problem in your heat element or your control board.
Kitchen aid dishwasher door
Use white silicone. It doesn't show up against the tub and it is easy to clean off if you ever have to replace the seal. That is what Whirlpool sends to glue them in place. You can get a small tube at any hardware store or wal-mart.

Leaky Tub
Are you sure that water leaking out from these two points.
If this is the reason for the leaking, it's absolutely a manufacturing problem and you should forward your problem to Sears to take care fot it !!
Generally, this problem could be solved by daubing an epoxy glue on
the leaking points.
Good luck !!
My older built in Kenmore 3380957 Rev.A dishwasher.
If it is doing when it is washing, then it likely to be a problem with the pump, but it might just be 'hunting' because the filters are partially blocked. There is the filter that you can see easily, but there is a fine filter underneath that blocks with fine grey lint.
Water left in the bottom can be caused by that because the drain pump is past the filter and is on a timer.

Kenmore dishwasher model 587 has ERR code and lights flashing.
If you're experiencing an ERR code and flashing lights on your Kenmore dishwasher model 587, it indicates an error or fault in the dishwasher's operation. Unfortunately, without specific details about the error code or which lights are flashing, it's challenging to provide a precise solution. However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the owner's manual: Refer to the dishwasher's manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. It should also provide troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
2. Power cycle the dishwasher: Turn off the dishwasher by unplugging it from the power outlet or shutting off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes to ensure a complete power cycle. Then, plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.
3. Check for obstructions: Inspect the dishwasher's interior, specifically the spray arms, filters, and drain pump, for any obstructions such as food debris or foreign objects. Clean or remove any blockages that you find.
4. Run a diagnostic cycle: Some dishwashers have a diagnostic mode that can help identify the cause of the error. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to initiate the diagnostic cycle.
5. Contact customer support: If the issue persists or you are unable to determine the cause of the error, it's recommended to reach out to Kenmore customer support or a qualified appliance repair technician. They will be able to provide further assistance and help resolve the problem.
Remember, the specific steps and options may vary depending on your dishwasher model. Consulting the owner's manual is always the best course of action when troubleshooting appliance issues.
