THE CLARION CX609 WONT FIT
That is going to be a touch install if memory serves as your vehicle is not double din. Much easier to sell that and get a single din radio and install kit.
Clarion cx609 after my lg
I had this same problem; here's what I think is happening. You have several bluetooth "profiles" on your phone; one of which allows for music streaming (A2DP) through BT. If this profile is enabled on your phone, then the radio "senses" that you've got a new source hooked up, that being your phone's music player. It's similar to if you're listening to the radio on the CX609 and then plug in your iPod--the radio senses a new source and swaps to it. If you disable the A2DP profile (assuming you don't use your phone for streaming music through your CX-609), and only leave the headset and/or handsfree profiles active, the radio WILL NOT switch to bluetooth mode. I did this on my Blackberry Tour and I now can enjoy my radio much more than when I had to swap back to the radio 30 seconds after I turned the key. Hope this helps!!!
My Clarion AM/FM,CDMP3,marine radio will play when...
I had the same issue with a blown speaker
that was shorting it
self
out. I found this on "TeamClarion.com" site.
Step
1: Disconnect all the speakers from the head unit and try again. If the same
message comes up, send the unit in for service.
Step
2: If the message goes away, you have a wiring problem. Check each speaker lead
for a short circuit, damaged speaker or a ground to chassis.
Basically
means one set (or more) of the speaker leads are touching each other (shorting
out). This can be somewhere inline to your speakers or your speakers them
selves. The advise above isn't to clear. In the first step they want to rule
out the speakers attached but "disonnecting all the speakers" is
vague. You should disconnect at the rear of the radio. This might be difficult
because the multi plug in the back has the speakers and power wires together
(at least most clarions). Also if it was a good install then the outgoing
speaker wires were soldered to the long run speaker wires going to the
speakers.
To truly test for radio fault
verses the wiring or speakers, you have to sever the connection at the back of
the radio. If this is not something you wish to do then there is one
suggestion. Order a new multi plug for the back of the radio. This way you can
pull the old plug and test it with a new plug with no speakers attached (just
have to run 12v positive and negative).
If the radio is OK then start
by checking all the wires to your speakers (if possible). If nothing seems bare
and shorting (remember it's usually in tight places or were the wires are
hanging loose that vibration will cause cutting to the wire) then disconnect
all your speakers (at the rear of the speakers). Turn the radio back on and see
if it does the error message again. If not reattach the speakers one by one
checking for the error message.
You can check these in any order.
If you don’t want to order a new plug then you and can’t get to much of the
wiring to physically check then starting at the speakers is OK.
Amp guard on stereo?
I found this simple message on "TeamClarion" site when I had an "amp gaurd" issue.

How do you connect a bluetooth phone to a clarion
You can download the detailed instruction for this radio here;
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/support/product_manuals_2/index.html?pdf='../../../../../../MungoBlobs/243/878/CX609_ENG.pdf'
I have the same stereo so if you can't figure out the manual let me know but it's pretty simple.
CX609 Amp guard ?
, the message you are getting is "amp guard". This is the mesage it will
display when a short in a speaker wire or speaker with low impedence is
hooked to the internal amp and sends it into protect mode, shutting
down the amplifier section while the rest of the unit continues to work.
check all of your speakers

On my clarion cx609 double din player i need an antenna out wire
This radio has a multi wire plug. In this mess of wires is a blue one and a blue with white tracer. The Blue and white tracer wire is for the amp and the solid blue is for antenna.
If you do not see these then look for an empty socket in the back of the plug where all the wires are coming out. This might have been cut by someone or pulled out by a bad de-install job.
Clarion cx609 smooth install BUT it doesnt fit
This is a CORPORATE double din opening
You must use a dash install kit.
Metra makes one numbered 95-8210.
Other manufacturers make install kits for this vehicle as well. Scosche & American International to name a few.

I WAS SETTING THE ANTI THEFT CODE FOR MY DEVICE
This feature is for anti-theft, if there was an easy way to "unlock" it then any thief could steal your radio and reset the password. There is no hack here, you have to call Clarion. This is from the manual;
Note:
• If you have lost your Personal Code, please
contact Clarion customer service
I've never been through this but they might ask you to send it in. Regardless of it being some system error and not your error. Although if the radio does have a glitch like you said then sending it in might be a good thing.
I installed a Clarion CX609 unit When I call out
This stereo comes with a wired mini-microphone that you have to plug into the back of the stereo before you put the radio back in place. This wired mic is pretty long so you can run it inside the dash and even up one of the columns right or left of the windshield and to you sun-visor (comes with sun-visor clips). If you did not run this mic and put it somewhere out in the open then they will not hear you. If you did plug this in and run the mic then maybe it came unplugged when you put the radio into the dash.
There is a mic gain in the settings Bluetooth menu but even in the lowest setting people will still hear something. If double check and it is plugged in and speaking right in to the mic has no effect then could be the mic is bad or radio is defective. You can plug in a regular computer mic (headset or stand alone) and try it to see if it is the mic or the radio (very unlikely it would be the radio).
Music sounds great!.But the entering calls sound horrible,Ican't
The volume setting on your phone affects the volume as well. Turn the phone up more. If this has already been tried or does not work the keep reading. I believe the call sound comes only through a front speaker (maybe the right front...not sure but I can check on this). If the music seems like it sounds good (with all the speakers) there might be a slim chance that the one speaker that plays the call is not working well. Use the fader and balance setting to switch to each speaker one by one and play sound through it (preferably a commercial with people speaking). See if one of the front speakers is blown or at least does not sound good for voice. This would mean replacing a speaker front set.
