Hello desoren,

The receiver may not be set to recognize MP3 files.

Press and hold "sound setup" until the unit enters setup mode. Rotate the volume knob to "play mode" and press "enter". Check that the setting is CD/MP3 (not CD/MA), or rotate the volume knob to change the setting to CD/MP3 and press enter again. Press and hold "sound setup" again until the unit exits sound setup.

If the files are still not recognized, I'd try using a different USB drive, a different computer to write the MP3's, and/or a different application to download or rip the original music content.

Hope this helps.

Remove the detachable front panel. Behind that front panel, there is a small button on the bottom left, which is the reset button! (You'll need a ballpoint pen or something similar to press it)

I also have the same question, can any one help? How do I get the clock to stay on, on the Alpine cde-102?
The moment you switch off the system the clock goes off, even if the car is running.

Check that the fuse in fusebox is not blew, If blew make sure wiring is correct before replacing as if not it will blow again, Wiring diagrams are provided with all new stereos and most of them have cables to just plug in and go rather than messing with any wiring which is a lot simpler if yours didn't come with one of these cables go to your local auto store and ask for radio cable for your specific make/model and one will be provided which Simply slots onto current connection and will allow after market radios to be fitted without rewiring the whole thing.

man i hate to break this to ya but you might want to wire your first amp strait off the remote and i would defeinatly not tie it in series like that. It can cause your amps to over heat very easy. Take and wire it from your first amp then to your second but not in series see if that fixes your problem if not you may have one bad amp i dont know

Turn the stereo off before you stop car. If clock is not displayed press display until clock is displayed. Then turn off car, and turn it back on it should have clock up.

Hello eklypss2000,

According to the manual for the Alpine CDE-102, the message "DC ERROR" is displayed if there is a short to ground in the speaker wiring. Check all of your speaker wires and make sure that no bare wire is shorting against the vehicle metal or against other wires. Repair or replace the wire as necessary. After correcting the problem, set POWER IC to "POW ON" according to the instructions in your manual.

Hope this helps.
