My gateway start up screen
You have to insert your user name and password in order to log in. If you have forgotten this you have to either find out what it is or redo the install again sometimes you can use default passwords from the company or some crack software that will remove this. It is a pain to have this happen again it is important to remember these or do not use passwords period if this keeps happening. You may have to reinstall the Operating System again that is the easiest way to do remove this. Then start fresh, John

Upgrade cpu for amd athlon4050e processor
- Any AMD processor for AM2 socket that has a higher rating will do. Best one is http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?SKU=19040125
All it takes is a powerfull enough motherboard with a matching BIOS.
Or you could buy this combo

Audio/Music skip sounds every few seconds at random constantly
Hello my friend, what program are you using and what type of music?
First uninstall all drivers and install the latest one.Second check your CPU activity when you are playing music(from task manager ctrl+alt+del),if its too high its a problem. If you are using different music from .mp3 like .ogg or something "not common" you must install the latest codecs.I'm waiting for your reply.

There no sound coming out of the headphone jack
Open the machine once you have unpluged it from power sorce, Make sure it is hooked up. If not then go to the site and look the manual up and see where it hooks up on the mother Board and hook it up.

I going to buy a emachine et116107 today and i
That particular model has PCI-Express slot for optional upgrades. So if you decide to upgrade the graphics look for anything with a PCI-E label or PCI-Ex16. If you do get a new card make sure to disable the onboard graphics in the system BIOS prior to installing new card. Instructions can be found via google search

do not have any input while chkdsk utility is in progress any might further damage your computer
scroll to the bottom toolbar bottom of screen right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer and ticking over if you see
something running that you dont need running select end now then you might uninstall that particular program you might have virus slowing your computer you might need to update your graphics card drivers
If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question exclamation mark ? mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers
if you dont have a disk with the drivers you have to download them

Click Start/Control Panel/Display when the display window opens click
the Appearance tab. Look down near the bottom of the window and Change
the Font Size.
I counted 13 quick beeps at startup on an emachines E520. what dose that mean ? how do i fix it please ?
Thirteen quick beeps at startup on an eMachines E520 usually indicate a problem with the laptop's RAM (Random Access Memory). This could mean that the RAM is not properly seated in its slot, or it could be a sign of a faulty RAM module.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Turn off the laptop and disconnect it from the power source.
Remove the battery from the laptop.
Locate the RAM compartment on the bottom of the laptop.
Check to make sure that the RAM module is seated properly in its slot. You may need to remove and reinsert the RAM module to ensure a proper connection.
Replace the battery and turn on the laptop.
If the problem persists, try removing the RAM module and testing it in a different laptop or using a different RAM module in the eMachines E520 to determine if the problem is with the RAM module itself or with the laptop's RAM slot.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it may be necessary to contact a computer technician for further assistance..
