MY SIM CARD IS BLOCKED FOR MY BOOST PHONE HOW DO I UNLOCK IT

Motorola... | Answered on Sep 30, 2016

Hello!!
In order to unlock the phone you will need to contact the original service provider for further assistance because this code is assigned by the original service provider the phone was manufactured for so that it cannot be taken to another carrier for activation without their permission.

Ensure you check DTMF tones. Change it from long to short or vice versa.

All battery's have what is called "battery memory" witch is why the instructions that come with your phone tell you to fully charge your device before playing with it. You will find that as time goes by your battery will not hold the same charge, this is because you slowly lose battery memory as you continually recharge your device. I would say its time for a new battery. You may also try a task killer application to help keep the application load running at optimum.

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a unique eight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN number to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered after the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack. If you do not have this then - Please contact your phone service provider.
Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give them your account details and they have confirmed your identity. For details to obtain the PUK code for the SIM card, please click on this link and follow my instructions.

Doing a master reset on ANY phone is a last resort in fixing any problems with your phone. Unless you have a memory card to store all your info on, u may lose everything on your phone, including contacts, pics, and bookmarks. Before you consider doing a master reset, contact the Boost Mobile service provider. Boost Mobile uses the Sprint network, so maybe contacting them is a good place to start. And if they suggest doing a master reset, they will tell you how to perform this action. Before you do, write down all the personal info you have saved on your phone!

Motorola i1 - Factory reset through hardware/SoftwareOptions

Here's some steps I found to get your Boost Moto I1 back up and running in a hurry:

To reset through software:

  • Press the App tab on the home screen
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap SD Card & Phone Storage
  • Tap Master Clear
  • Tap Reset Phone
To reset through Hardware:

  • Power the phone all the way off (remove battery if necessary)
  • Press and hold Volume Up, Volume Down, (Green) Send Key, and the OK key.
  • Press and hold the Power/End Call key.
  • Release all keys after a few seconds.
  • If performed correctly, the Motorola emblem will appear, with an image of an arrow pointing to a phone icon.
  • The phone will restart multiple times, eventually returning to the initial setup screen.
If the phone still isn't working after the hardware reset, perform the steps in the software reset to complete the wipe in full.

Obviously your sim card reader is bad or the metal clasp that holds your sim card firmly against the reader is warped. This would prevent the phone from reading your sim
