My sabrent ec-ueis7 external hard

If the drive has important data on it then the last thing you want to do is initialize it - that will wipe the data. Can you try installing the drive inside the machine on an active SATA port and run spinrite to see if the drive is salvageable? Need a user's manual for a Sabrent ECS-U35 External Drive Enclosure

Page 1 Congratulations on your purchase of the new Sabrent EC-3US35 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure! The enclosure provides a secure and lightweight method of transporting and transferring large quantities of data at the fastest possible USB 3.0 speeds, while still being reverse compatible with USB 1.1/2.0. Your computer will quickly detect and configure the connected Hard Drive (Plug & Play) via the USB connection, with no need to restart the computer. Blazing USB 3.0 speeds of up to 5Gbps allow you to effortlessly run files directly from your hard drive, such as, songs, videos, and databases. The aluminum casing effectively dissipates heat, and its compact sleek design with mirror finish replaces the old eyesore hard drive enclosures of old. Page 2 Transfer interface USB 3.0 (Reverse compatible with USB 2.0/1.1) Transfer rate Up to 5 Gbps (USB 3.0); Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) Supported HDD 3.5" Work temperature -40~65 'C Work humidity 8%~90% Storage humidity 5%~95% Operating System Windows 2000/XP/VISTA/7; MAC OS X Page 3 System Requirements ? 3.5" SATA/SATA II (Serial ATA) hard drive ? Available USB Port. ***Computer must be USB 3.0 ready to achieve full USB 3.0 Speeds. ? (Reverse compatible with USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports at reduced speeds) ? Operating Systems: Windows 2000/XP/VISTA/7; MAC OS X Page 4 1. Open the retail package and remove the Hard Drive Enclosure. 2. Insert the SATA Hard Drive into the Case. 3. Tighten the screws to secure the Hard Drive to the base. 4. Slide the base into the outer enclosure, and secure it with the screws. 5. Connect the AC power adapter to the wall and the Enclosure. 6. Turn on the switch to ON. 7. Connect the USB cable to an available USB port on the computer. Page 5 At this point the Hard Drive is completely installed. No Software or Drivers are needed to complete the connection. The Hard Drive Enclosure should appear in Device Downloaded from www.Manualslib.com manuals search engine Manager under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" as "USB Mass Storage" (There should be no error icon: '?' or '!') and the Hard Drive should appear in "MY COMPUTER" as a new Drive Letter. If the Hard-Drive is brand new you may need to first format it to make the Drive Letter appear. Right-click on MY COMPUTER, Select MANAGE, Go to DISK MANAGEMENT, go to the drive information in the Right column and Right-click on the drive to Initialize, Partition, Assign Drive Letter and Format. We recommend the NTFS file system. At this point you should get the Drive letter in MY COMPUTER.

I am trying to take pictures of 3.5 discs using sabrent product. Files show on my computer but am having no luck opening each picture on any of the programs I have - paint & etc.

yes, photos 101 I can answer most questions if the level. first off no photo editor does all formats of all camera's made. that is a fact. some come close with $300 software. you don't have. my guess is your camera uses the great TIFF format. no PC STATED, NOR OS VERSION, SO I CAN KNOW WHAT VERSION OF PAINT YOU HAVE. Windows 10 paint does tiff, giff, jpg and even bmp so it's not that. first off when moving photos off any camera made. look to see what the file names are the extensions. dm0101.tiff is TIFF. dm0101.bmp is BMP. see, ? the see if it is too big, many editors of photo can not do 50foot wide photos as some pro camera's can do. (CANON top brand)or NIKON. the camera has settings mode, set it to JPG or PNG mode and any editor can edit those. sabrent product my wild wild guess, next this name above is 3.5" extrernal USB flopy diskette reader that say your relic 2000 year, SONY 3.5" camera created . (yes they did that back in the day, ) and now you connect the 3.5" Sabrent and you can copy said fails ok, but failed to note the full file names. to see extensions you must tell nasty windows you want to. yes windows is PAIN, in this one regard. so you go to control panel. click file explorer options. then click VIEWS TAB. then click and uncheck hide file exemptions. (leave OS extensions alone below) after doing this great act (we do this step one new PC or OS) we can see what kind of photo is for the first time. then post that and we can edit anything or get GIMP, for free for windows.

Sabrent external floppy reader is asking me to format my floppy disk. how can a format it without deleting my files on floppy disk?

Your floppy disk drive may be defective. Also, Some floppy drives are manufactured differently. Your best bet is to find another floppy drive to read your floppy disk. You can try to take it to the nearest computer store and ask them to read it for you. If they can read it at the computer store? The Sabrent drive you received if bad. If they cannot read it the floppy is bad. If the floppy is bad you can try to download free data recovery software to attempt to recover your data, files etc. Good luck
