AudioBahn A2200HCT Car Audio Amplifier Questions & Answers
I have 4 gauge wire to my audiobahn2200 htc and it
I would take an ohm meter and check the ohms on the subs sounds like you are dropping below 2 ohms.If the subs are new then that is normal its the coating on the voice coil getting hot but it will pass in time. I would recommend a 1-2 farrad cap for that set-up though.

Can it handle two subs bridged? cuz mine smells
What size are the power/ground wires? This is most likely the problem. If you are running that thing to the max, you will need a 2 or 4 gauge wire. Do it quickly, this starts a lot of fires when the wire melts.

Ground wire has burned plastic cover on my amp
what type of terminal is on the amp. screw or slip on type?
The plastic does not carry any type of ground. If your ground wire was melted, that means you have a 'hot' wire shorting across the ground somehow causing a short. This causes excessive heat like an 'arc' welder.
You might want to check your power wire to make sure its not making any contact to ground. Make sure any foreign debris is not causing a 'bridge' between the 2 posts.
If your terminals (or place where you hook up power and ground wires) are in good shape, re-wire and turn on the unit.

No noise A2200HCT
To determine what failed, you would have to open the amp while it's powered up and measure the voltage at several points. If you're not comfortable with doing this, you should pay to have it repaired. If you want to try to repair it yourself, read through the following page.
Basic Amplifier RepairYou'll need a digital multimeter.
Let me know if you want to try to repair it yourself.

Red Status Light
The most common cause for the protection LED to be lit is shorted output transistors. I'm not familiar with that amp but if you can send me some decent quality photos of the insides, I can tell you what to check.
You should only continue if you intend to replace the defective transistors yourself.

I need to hook up two audiobahn A1200Q subs to a
The amplifier is only stable to 2 ohms.
Assuming the cubs are dual 4 ohm voicecoils - a 2 ohm load with 2 subs is not possible.
You can only wire up 1 dual 4 ohm voicecoil sub (both positives to amp... and both negatives to amp) to get a 2 ohm mono load.
Thanks for using FixYa -a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.
Can the Audiobahn AEQ8 replace an Audiobahn AEQ6Q. Is it the same foot- print, size and rae connections similar..
Hello William Novelli, if it would be compatible, but you should control the order of the connections, they can vary
I send you the link to download the manuals of both models and compare the connections, if you find it complex, consult a specialized technical service
I hope you find it useful

I have a audiobahn aw1251t 12 inch sub and punch 1000-1db amp how would i wire it up
as your sub is only rated to 400w rms simply connect the sub to either a or b channel outputs you may wish to use an rca splitter before the amp to feed both left and right audio channels into a single channel on the amp. WARNING connecting both channels on the amp to the sub will overload the sub and possibly blow it up so i highly recommend not doing so.
