The dryer overheating had blown the thermal fuse.
Check if the vent is working, and if the outside of the vent is blocked.
If the vent is fine you need to check if the heating element is grounded to the canister or the bracket, this will cause the element not turning off.
To check if the element is grounded, turn the dryer to timed dry, and do not start
the dryer.
Open the door and watch the rear left side and check if the
element is on and heating , if it is on and motor is not
running then element has a contact to ground.
The cycling thermostat can also be cause of the problem and must be tested.
