I can not take it off mute
2 options. If your device has a reset or restore to factory settings. This should fix it. Then just add back your settings, preprogrammed destinations,etc.Other option, if does not fix. Check your warranty. Because it is a defect. I have seen this issue before. Sometimes the reset will fix. JuSt needs a reboot like a computer. Also, the defect as well. 50/50 chance. If reset does not work immediately contact the company to check warranty sratus. If in warranty will send new one for free due to defect.Hope this helps

The display on my Q4-06
Hi,
I will advice you try to reset your GPS, to reset your gps, follow
this steps, turn off your device. Press down on bottom right corner of
the
touchscreen, and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted
whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you
really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press Yes to reset
(warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding)
or enter maintenance mode.
Once the GPS unit is reset, remember to place the device
outside where there is a clear unobstructed view of the sky for 15 to 30
minutes in order for it to requires fix to GPS satellites. with this, the problem should be rectify.

Could not start navigation syten
Hi, these types of errors are generally caused when the operating system tries to access a file and for whatever the reason, that file or simply a byte of information has gone missing or is corrupt. The unit can't find the software and spits out a pretty much useless code for the average user.
One check the sd card for the unit and maker sure it is not locked (yes they do have a lock on them), it will be a small white? tab on the side that will slide up and down. That's the lock.
If this is good and it is not locked, then i would suggest that you check and see if you have an install cd for your unit. If you do and once you verify that you have the maps, I would suggest that you either get a new 2gb sd disk to use in the gps or reformat the original and install the software again.

Where is the reset hole
First, press the "Reset" button or push the stylus into the "Reset"
hole, to see if the navigation software can load successfully. If the
program still does not load, then the software may be corrupted.

I just want to install
usually it has a usb connection on the gps unit, yu have to download the updates on your computer and load it to the gps.

Q 4 series GPS has
this seam like a memory failure to me ..and it is the equivalent of a blue screen on computers..Note that these kinda gps have a reset hole with a hidden button ..and you can default it if you press it with a stylus or a sharp object ...if after that is still the same ..you have to reload the software for the program it causes issues..(probably to get the firmware updates..)
