try to change the format of the portable hard drive, i believe you have it under ExFat, and a usb is Fat32 these options are under any windows platform, connect your device, right click and select FORMAT, here change it from ExFat to either Fat32 or NTFS, the difference between the 2 is simple, Fat32 is more compatible to devices, like car stereos, tvs, etc, but it has a limit of uploading a single file up to 3gb were NTFS doesn't have a limit but not many devices support it. Formatting your drive to another one requieres all media to be deleted, and when your formatting, never forget to select "QUICK FORMAT"

hope this helps!!

Sounds like the HDD is the problem here.

Latest drivers need to be downloaded and installed. Either there should be an installation cd or you can download from manufacture's website.

Try to reset the drive to the factory setting and see whether it helps.
This can be done by Set Up >> Preferences >> Defaults >> Reset.

Good Luck!

Do you hear any clicking sound when the player is switched on?
If so the HDD has become faulty. This normally happens when the player is dropped. You need to replace the HDD but if you are on warranty get a replacement for free. Never say you dropped it as the warranty will be void.

If you do not hear a clicking noise try to format the player and see whether it helps. Also look for the latest firmware upgrade from the manufacturer.

Hi , The reason for the error message is because your DVD player is set to one specific zone. The below procesure will open the DVD player to play all zones.
YOUR REGION AREA WILL APPEAR. PRESS "0" TO UNLOCK (OPEN the DVD player to ALL zones) ALL, THEN WAIT. INSERT YOUR DISC. Hope this helps. Let me know the status. Thanks, Mike
