how do i add sound to my digital camera vivitar 5022

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

That is correct. The ViviCam does not record any sound.

That's the way it is. The ViviCam does not record any sound with its videos. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, you just can't record one on the camera.

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

Unless the camera is detected it wil not download the pictures taken.
So install the software for the model and try.
If not use your memory card directly to be put into the card reader of the PC to transfer the data.

Download THIS.

Download this free tool and run it on you card and it should be able to recover all pictures provided that you have not used the card since formatting. I recommend using a card reader for this.

After downloading and running (no installation required) , simply select deep scan and your memory card and it will start scanning, To recover a found file , right click it and select save.

Please note that the file names will probably not be available and also that some of the properties of the photo like date taken could be lost.

Have you tried to format the card.
1.

Start up a computer with Windows XP, Vista, windows 7or Insert the SD card into an external memory card reader or into the computer's built in card reader. If it the first time a SD card has been inserted into the computer, Windows will recognize the SD card and automatically install drivers to read the memory card.

2Go to the computer view by clicking on the windows start menu icon in the bottom right corner of the computer. In Windows 7 and Vista click "Computer". In Windows XP click "My Computer"

3Right click on the SD drive under the computer heading. A dialog box with different options for the drive will appear. Click on "Format" to bring up the formatting dialog box.

4Select the type of formatting (also known as file system format). In Windows XP or Vista there are several choices including FAT, FAT 32, and NTFS. In Windows 7 there is an added choice called exFAT formatting. This is an improved FAT formatting type with improved meta data capabilities. Choose the formatting type, name if the drive if desired, check or uncheck the "quick format" option, and press the "Start" button. When the SD card format is complete Windows will provide a notification.

go to this site ...and click on the software folder ...you will have to complete the name and the serial of the product ..and they will send you a download link in the mail..I tried to download it myself ..but cause I did not have a camera of this model I had no serial number to complete there ..just insert your email ..name and serial number and the model..after that click to subscribe to the newsletter and they will send you the driver download link in the mail

Sorry...Vivitar is trying to save the trees. You can download a copy to your computer from the support section of their website. From there, you can print the important pages yourself.

Press the UP button to cycle through the various flash modes. The four choices are Auto, Red-eye reduction, Forced on, and Off.
