Sound bar compatibility
Make sure red glow is coming from TV's Opt out cable when TV is on. If it is, it is working. The best solution is use an LG soundbar with an LG TV. There is a differnce in digital outputs and with a "service remote" (used by authorized LG servicers) you might be able to change the TVs factory setting to make the vizio soundbar work. but I think you'll be better off with the LG soundbar.

Unplug the tv for about 5 minutes. If it comes back on and plays properly then you are likely to have a bad power supply which has bulged capacitors on it. If you are proficient in soldering and unsoldering you can save buying the entire power supply. The bad capacitors will be domed or bulged on the top. They are cylinder shaped components and good ones are flat on top (usually). You can usually get capacitors at Radio Shack and are the radial type and not axial. Radial is the two pins at the same end.. Do a search with your model number in Ebay or Google or shopjimmy.com to find a power supply should you need one. Be sure to match the picture for picture with your power supply and also match the numbers
Ghosting
a lot of these set have auto focus which may just need to be run through the menu or setup on the remote. Are you using a cable box or antenna? this can make a difference as well.

Most likely it is a LCD panel failure.
If it is out of warranty I would call LG to see if they could help with the repair cost. Their Customer Service Phone Number is 1800--243-0000.
If it is under warranty, they could help you find a Authorized Service Facility near you to repair it.

Just bought lg 24o mhz tv picture looks like
- What kind of signal are you putting into it. If your not putting a HD signal into set your going to have a crappy pix. Try hooking a pair of rabbit ears into it and see how the pix looks. Might have to autoprogram the set and put the tv in antenna mode Keep me posted
I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning.
Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem.

The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out.
