Black line running down left hand side of tv
hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down
screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in
view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have
you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead
from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is
completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i
think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up

Picture on tv good NO Sound
recheck your connections and make sure that you have a cable running from the receiver to the tv from the Audio/video jack. Most new units say to use your "S-Video" jack for sound and pic. As for blue screen...may be as simple as the channel it is selected. You may need the tv to be on 3 or 4 and the same for the receiver. try this and hope it works for you!

Most likely there is a TV button on the remote.
Try turning it off then on.
If all else fails, try pressing Stop about 3 or 4 times.
Then it will stop the movie and the DVD player mode.

Hi Bruce, what's going on with you TCL set is one of the COF IC's on the panel boards is shorted, that's why it blew the power fuse on the tcon, a new fuse will blow and not fix it, don't order a new board as that won't help either, the set unfortunately isn't going to be fixable as a new panel won't be available and when they were a few yrs ago they run as much as a new set.
The source does not oscillate
I think language is a problem here.
Get a flashlight and shine it at the screen. Do you see a picture? If you do, the back light has failed.
