with a model number to know exactly how power is supplied to the surface burners its going to be hard to let ya know anything definate...but do ya have knobs that ya turn to turn on the surface burners? if yes knobs..their will be terminals on the switch marked L1/L2 on those 240vac should be there all the time when turning the knob onto high on terminals marked H1&H2 should be 240vac to the burner

if it has the touch button to turn on the surface burners 240 vac into board all the time ..4 individual outbound power places (one for each burner) and the one for that burner also should have 240 vac when set to high

in either case if 240 vac out to burner the burner is bad
if 240vac into switch/board and not out..switch/board bad

F9 indicates that the door lock switch has failed..

Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong)

If the wiring is perfectly fine then the door lock switch has failed and you need to replace them.You can buy a new one in nearest spare parts shop by providing your model number.

It appears your ERC/CLOCK has failed in this instance.

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with check for the red button, this is usually located in the rear of the oven. You’ll have to unplug it completely then unscrew the rear screws and there is a red button with two purple wires located on a small black round piece, and the other one is located behind the control panel. Push them to reset the oven, if it works then its great. If it won’t work then you’ll have to check the oven temperature sensor as F30 error is a communication error between the oven temp. sensor and the control board. This codes indicates the oven temperature got too hot. This failure code is almost always due to the sensor or wire between the sensor and control board being bad.

The sensor is a metal rod that is inside your oven coming in on the back wall and is a little smaller than a pencil

Yes, you can repair the appliance yourself and save on the cost of labor and services charges. Unfortunately, when these triple burners go bad in the manner you describe, there is no way to repair only the portion that is burned out. The burner is one complete piece and needs to be replaced as an entire assembly. The following link explains how:

I suspect your model number is actually 790.96593601 or 790.96593602. These are the only two numbers that cross to the model number you provided. If I'm not correct, please post back with your COMPLETE model number.

The part number for the triple burner is 316216702. Keep in mind, this part, alone is not cheap. The cheapest price I found was about $120 at appliancepartspros.com. However, you would spend much more if you included the added price of a service call and labor charges. Use the part number provided to search any other web sources you like to see if you can find the burner listed elsewhere for a better price. Use the part number as some websites may not list your particlar model, but will carry most parts.

Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
or
Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door.
Some model ovens require the oven door to be manually unlatched before the controls are returned to the OFF position or else the door may not be able to be unlocked. Check the owner's manual for proper operating procedures

This is an industrial degreaser I used at work. Be careful with it as it will peel paint! But is does a great job cleaning the oven top. Spray, let it set a few and spray again. You may still need the scraper, but it will come clean much easier.
Added TIP: Got one of those reusable filters in your window AC unit?
Take it outside and spray it down with this full strength. Hose it off when you are done and it will look like new. I also use it to clean smoke residue and crud off of computers (caeses) for a fairly new look.

The element was burned out. I bought a new one.

use scotch brite #7447 get at automotive stores and blend scratches with the grain. If they still exist use 180 to 240 grit sandpaper and again finish with the 7447

Usually the door is ok it is generally the hinges. So order both left and right u will need a model number and here is a good parts number 1-877-262-1479 they are fairly simple to install look it up on sears.com and us can see a picture and get a good idea how they are installed

It sounds like the receptacle you plugged the stove into does not have any power coming to it. Check in your electrical panel to see if the breaker needs to be reset, or if the fuse needs to be replaced.

You should feel the door pull closed when you as you lift it and get near the closed position.

There is some spring linkage associated with the hinge pins at the bottom sides of the oven.

I cannot find the oven you indicated, but I did find exploded views and parts list of the topic post oven on the SearsPartsDirect website.
