The Olympia 330 is the same as the Nakajima AE-830. if you have lost your operators manual you can download the Nakajima version from
WWW.NADIST.COM.
First just try resetting your tabs. If that dosn't work, you can reset to factory settings by doing the following...
SwitchPower OFF. While holding down the MARGIN RELEASE KEY switch the power back on...the machine will start printing a self-test page...let it run for about 10secs then switch the machine back OFF. wAIT 10 SECS then switch back On and the unit should be back to factory default settings. ** Note..this will also clear anything in memory.

Doesn't hold left margin
Try doing a comlete clear to see if it helps....this will clear all memory.!
Switch the unit Off...then while holding down the margin release key switch the power backON.
The machine will begin printing lines of a pre-programmed test page.
Switch the unit back OFF.
Wait 5~10 seconds and switch the unit back on. At this stage the unit is back to factory defaults.
The only other thing to try is to check the silver shaft the carriage slides across on....make sure it is clean, and lubricate the shaft with a lightweight oil.

My type writer doesn't type in the letters clearly
Put in a multi part form, if the carbons are good then the problen is with the ribbon. If it dosen't print on the carbons ihe problem is with the impression, check for debris around the printwheel and hammer.
