How do i find grouped data in L1 and L2 on ti 82

I am not sure I understand but if it the same problem as in your other posted question, here is what I wrote. Are the data in L1 and l2 in any way related? If they are (being x-values and y-values of some data set) then you need to do regression analysis (2-var stats)If they are not related (connected) you can calculate the mean of each group separately. Do 1-var stat by specifying the L1 list first (may be the default), get your average of the values in L1. Then you can do 1-var stat on the data in L2 by specifying the list L2 on the command line.1-var L2 ENTERNote: What I am describing here is valid for the TI 83 Plus/TI84 Plus, but I suspect the steps are similar to the TI 82.

After a few months on not using my calculator, I

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

TI-82

try this, try reseting the calculator blind. hit 2nd then + then 7 then 1 then 2. That's how you reset it on an 83,84,89 and so on. if you have a friend see how he resets his 82 and try it the same way. It could just be that your screen is ruined. this can happen if it gets alot of pressure in a back pack. GOOD LUCK

Mixed numbers

If the result is positive, type in the integer part then add the fraction part either with the help of the fraction key or the division key. (I do not think that the TI82 has a fraction key.If it is anything like the TI3 there is command under MATH >Frac. It should be pressed after you enter the mixed number to keep the result as a fraction. If the mixed number is negative you enclose the whole number in parentheses. Press the change sign (-) key to negate the result.

Making PI a variable in TI-82 Calculator

The calculator does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS: It cannot handle non numerical quantities. Every letter symbol must have a value stored in it prior to being used. If no value is stored in a letter symbol, value 0 is assigned to it. Sorry. As to calling Pi a variable, I would not got that far, even if the calculator would give me 2Pi.TI calculators that have a CAS are the TI92 Plus, the Voyage 200 PLT, and the TI Nspire CAS, TI Nspire CX CAS.

When i turn on texas t1-82, there are bars all ofer the place and you can still type numbers ive tried everything please help!

It may just be that the calculator is too old and some of its hardware is no longer in top shape. It may be time to get another one. TI has a very beautiful calculator the TI Nspire CAS that display 65000 colors. Casio too has a color calculator the Prizm. The prices are not too high compared to the selling price of the old TI83Plus.

The pads get gummed up over a period of time, take the calculator apart and carefully seperate the rubber pad from the circuit board, take rubbing alcohol with Q-Tips and clean the area in question, making sure the pad and the circuit board are good and clean in the area that is giving trouble.

When trying to write simple

Dimension mismatch error occurs when arguments are not with same dimensions. Two or more arguments must be of the same dimension. For example, [1,2]+[1,2,3] is a dimension mismatch because the matrices contain a different number of elements. By the way, it it very easy to resolving your problem with graphing linear function. How do I open the calculator to change the batteries?:s

If there are no small screws on the back to come out, it's a 'clip' type and will need a small thin blade to pry the sides apart to open. carefully use a knife blade to pry it open. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/craig_3fa289bf857b1a3c
