If you are talking about one number it may be the keyboard or the printwheel.If the shifted letter prints it's the printwheel.DickyO

If that is the only character that is not working then the most likely cause is the daisy wheel (print wheel). Remove it from the machine and look closely at it. The spokes should be evenly spaced and no gaps. If the daisy wheel is damaged, just replace it.

I start typing and the hammer will not move forward to hit the daisy wheel

you have to get a new printwheel, pull the black lever in front and to the right of the printwheel, pull ou the old P/W, insert the new P/W in the same position and push the lever forward untill it latches into place

Chances are that the print head is not locked forward. This happens when the daisy wheel or either of the ribbons are replaced. Just push it forward until it clicks

Check the print head/wheel to be sure it is securely in place.

If your are not in a language or KBII mode the print wheel homing pawl is probably broken. You need a tech.DickyO

I believe you are in the wrong department typewriters don't have a wind idler assembly.

First be sure yhe ribbon and L/O tape are not obstructing the print wheel. The wheel will home itself on power up but if it gets interfeared with it won't reset without power off and on.

The font size is on the Print Wheel change the wheel change the font.

Check at the printwheel for bent or out of alignment spoke. Try it without the correction tape.

Yes you can, the correction tape is not needed to type.

With regards to your concern, here is my suggestion,If you can't even roll it in by hand, there is something stuck on the paper pan. if it just won't feed when you hit the RETURN button, then the paper feed motor (plastic) gear is probably broken, there is a motor with a metal gear available but its hard to get the case off without breaking it, and to have it done costs almost as much as a new machine.
