If the knob is moving you probably have a bad ribbon.

One of the keys in the top row should say pitch above it. That key with the code or alt key change the pitch as indicated on the display.

If you are not in a language mode, KBII or proportional space it should reset itself on power down , if not the printwheel homing pawl is probably broken tou will need a tech.

I believe there is a key in the top row that is labeled in green BOLD. Hold the ALT key and pressing it should turn it off. If it dosen't try CODE and that key.
