Comm error on a VOIP line

Fax cannot send on a VOIP line unless the VOIP line has T.38 fax protocol service.

If your VOIP adapter has only one service line (VOIP PIN configured) then you have to remove the phone line and connect the FAX line. Now if you have the two service lines (in the both port separate VOIP PIN should be configured) - then you may connect this FAX to the other port. Both (Phone as well ad FAX) will work simultaneously. (Remember - two seperate PINS are required if you attach phone as well as FAX line in same adapter). After attaching the FAX - every think is normal like normal FAX line. Generally you don't have to dial pre country code like 011 or 00 or +, just dial the number starting from Country code.

I don't have power. Is there an on/off switch?

Hi, There is no power switch on this machine & the supply cable is hard wired into the machine. Have you tried a new fuse in the plug? If so, & it still doesn't work then you may have a power supply problem. Hope this helps.

We can recieve local faxes fine but no out of state faxes will come through.

How do I get my fax machine to receive faxes. my manual is not clear.

First, plug a phone line to the 'Tel' port on the left side. Manual receive fax, pick up handset when fax is ringing and press 'Start' when you hear fax tone. Auto receive - set the receive mode to 'Fax Only'
