It just needs cleaning and servicing (terrible sounds = lubrication). Parts seldom need replacing, it just needs tightening up. Service centres can usually get parts.

To find the stitch count on a Brother Pacesetter PC-8500D, follow these steps:
Turn on your machine and select the embroidery design that you want to check the stitch count for.
Press the "i" button on the machine to access the information menu.
Scroll through the information menu until you see the stitch count option.
Select the stitch count option to display the total number of stitches in the embroidery design.
Note: Some embroidery designs may have multiple color changes or sections, so the stitch count may be broken down by color or section. You can navigate through these options using the arrow keys on the machine.
The error message F04 Foot Controller Breaker likely indicates that the foot controller has shorted out or is no longer functioning properly. Depending on the device you are using, it may be possible to repair it yourself, but in many cases, you will need to send it to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
If you have tried using a different foot controller and are still seeing the error message, it is possible that the problem is with the device itself, rather than the foot controller. You may want to check the wiring and connections for any visible damage, and make sure that all cables are properly connected and secure.
If you are unable to resolve the issue yourself, it may be best to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or information on how to obtain a repair or replacement.
t's possible that the pedal for your Brother XL-3200 sewing machine needs replacing. The issue you described with it needing to be pushed far before engaging and making a grinding noise before catching, could indicate a problem with the pedal mechanism. It's always a good idea to consult a sewing machine repair specialist to diagnose the issue and determine the best solution. They may be able to repair the existing pedal, or recommend a replacement if necessary.
The error message "Check and rethread the upper thread" on your Brother PE550D embroidery machine can be caused by a few different things. Here are some things you can try to fix the problem:
Make sure that the thread is loaded correctly and the thread guides are properly adjusted. Refer to the manual or the threading diagram on the machine for specific instructions.
Check the tension of the upper thread. The tension should be adjusted according to the type and weight of the fabric being used.
Check the bobbin case and make sure it is loaded correctly and the tension is adjusted properly.
Clean the bobbin case and the race hook, and make sure there is no lint or debris that could be causing the thread to bunch up.
Check the needle, make sure it is the correct size and type for the thread and fabric you're using, and that it is inserted correctly and tightened securely.
Inspect the silver arm on the left and make sure it is not bent or damaged and that it moves freely.
Make sure that the presser foot is in the correct position and that the presser foot lever is in the proper position.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to take the machine to a professional technician or contact the manufacturer for further assistance or service.
It is important to note that, the above steps are general troubleshooting steps, and the actual problem can be caused by different things, so it is best to consult a service manual for your specific Brother PE550D embroidery machine or contact the manufacturer for more detailed and accurate information.
I searched it but this is all i could find and this is just general info not specific to your brother machine ... there are several services that have manuals for a small charge and you might contact the Brother company and request one. or at least ask them the question .. sorry i wasn't more help my rule of thumb is one small drop here and there from time to time doesn't hurt a thing just be careful it doesn't get on your fabric https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-yJ5PjYJL8
sounds like a bad place on the screw thread. see if the tightening screw will go all the way on without a foot in place if not then try adding a small thin washer (one that fits the screw) and see if that fixes it.
make sure your foot peddle is fully pluged in. It's a foot pedal error code.
Try unpluging your foot pedal and start the machine if it works without the foot pedal have the foot pedal repaired or replaced.
Brother has extensive website and customer service. If you go to their site for your country and put in your model number, they'll tell you if they can get you a manual. Most are just downloads.. very easy. I'd give you a URL but I don't know where you are located.
They have fabulous customer service, so try there first.
