Ours did the same thing. They said it was the circuit board for embroidery that went bad. The one for sewing is still good. They wanted $200 to $300 to replace it.
Have you checked the area where the embroidery carriage goes in? It could have dust or lint in the way. Use a clean cotton swab and gently swab out the area. Then be certain the carriage is securely locked into place. If it still doesn't recognize that the carriage is installed, you may have to take it to a professional.
You don't use the back stitch or reverse button during embroidery since you are stitching out a design and not using your utility stitches. If you missed some stitches and you want to re-stitch a portion of your design or what I think you mean by "back stitch", there is a button that either says reverse, back or shows stitches with a + and - so you can backup and go over the area you missed. It usually lets you back up a stitch at a time, 10 at a time and 100 at a time. I use it sometimes to get a thicker satin stitch if it looked too thin the first time. Just be careful not to go over it more than once as it might bunch up. They also show a button usually with a spool on it so you can back up an entire thread color. It will probably be in your manual under "what to do when the thread breaks" or something similar. Happy embroidering!
Refer to the manual for cleaning the bobbin case and surrounding area.
Re-thread and replace the bobbin. Be sure to use machine embroidery bobbin thread. I use NEB prewounds.
Try a different design and use a cut away stabilizer. This holds the stitches better than tear away.
If the stitching is as before, lower the tension setting.
If you cannot resolve this, it could be a timing issue. Try the sewing feature to see if the stitching is off. If so, the machine will need to go in for service - take samples with you.
the problem of your machine is, under the plate of your machine, you saw the teeth look like the used of it is to move forward the cloth u embroiderd, you should tight the bolt or nuts so that, the bunching up of thread on the plate will stop. thank you!!!!!
if you go to the store to buy a bobbins, just asked the bobbins for your baby loc machine, if there is a # of your machine just present it. dont buy a bobbins for high speed machine, co'z it is deferent to your machine
You will need to use "bobbin Thread" in the bobbin. It's much thinner than regular thread. Also you may need to adjust your tension.First check the upper and lower tension adjustments according to link below and then check the knob (bobbin case) that makes the bobbin tension which lies inside the shuttle if it is too loose. Restricted it with the sheet metals around it so that it shouldn't move so freely up and down or back and forward. Be careful it should move freely a little but not too much. http://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-the-Tension-on-a-Sewing-Machinehread bunching underneath may be caused by several different things, but generally may be a top tension issue. * Ensure it is threaded correctly, and the top tension is working properly * The bobbin case position bracket may need adjustment * It could be as simple as just cleaning lint out of the bobbin case area, and bobbin case raceIN some cases the bobbin case needs to be replaced. This will help. Thanks please keep
updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
Hi Lisa, I have the same machine. When I had that problem I was told that the design I was trying to do was to large for the machine. Basically it needs to be about a 5" x 7" design. When I put a smaller design in the machine was able to read it. Hope this helps! I'm still learning too.
