Hum, nothing should "crash" into anything else while sewing. The Hook (place where bobbin case snaps into) might have a broken "keeper" (internal part that "keeps" the hook stationary when sewing.) Or your bobbin case may not be installed completely or correctly. Cheers, Kelly

A good place to see what machines are selling for is Ebay. That's where I sold a sewing machine and an embroidery machine.

It helps to know your product and machine embroidery lingo.

What are cassettes? Floppy disks? These make the machine borderline obsolete.

Memory cards are still around, but most EM now have USB connectivity or USB flash drives.

Satin thread? Embroidery machines use Rayon or Polyester embroidery thread.

Having had the machine recently serviced is also a plus.

Your screen is bad and will need replaced. Contact your local Janome dealer and they can order and install one for you.

they are called janome bobbins, but need to be flat ( there are some out there with a curve). the best place is to try an janome store as i have had a few that will not fit

the motherboard could be going out the machine would need to be checked

it sounds like there is a problem with the motherboard in the machine

Take out the large 4 screws from the bottom of machine. FRemove the one small screw on the right/middle side of bottom of machine. Inside you will see a large black box about 4" square, remove it and the fuses are on the inisde. I had to order my fuse on-line. The one I bought ar Radio Shack blew the minute I turned it on. Mfg. part #000182074 for fuse.

Stand up and over your machine and near the foot storage compartment on top of the machine you should see a black dial. This is the screen sharpness adjustment knob, try adjusting this. It worked for me. There is a diagram of it on Section 1 page 2 of your machine manual. Or you can download a pdf of the manual here. I hope this helps.
