Question is not clear? Read the needle? The print is really small and it will just tell you the size. Needles are good for 10 hours and cost and average of 70 cents. If there is any concern about your needle, throw it away and get a different one.

Do you mean the foot control or the presser foot on the machine? if it is the latter then it may need a drop of fine oil such as WD40 on top of the pressser bar overnight, if it is the foot control check the pins that go into the machine to make sure one has not been pressed in.

There are special oils made just for sewing machines and these are freely available from sewing shops and even some hardware outlets.

Remove the bobbin, bobbin case as well as the shuttle hook. There are black pins/holders that hold the shuttle hook. After you remove these 3 components, make sure there are no thread stuck in between the 2 hook pieces as well as the bobbin shaft. Most of them time, there are either fabric or thread stuck. If not, make sure the needle is not hitting the feed dog or the hook.

Sew paper.If ok try buying from reputable Haberdashery packets come in various sizes. Maybe material is to thick for needle

try changing the needlerethread the machine top & bobbinclean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for loose threads or lintcheck to make sure the bobbin & bobbin case is not damaged
