My phone rings but I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me. What happened?

Samsung Galaxy S4: Rings but caller/receiver can't hear: Question: Was this phone paired with a Bluetooth device like a headset or to a car? It may be stuck to that.. In any case, try holding down the power button, select reset or power off, let the phone reboot. Then try calling someone or have someone call you to test. It should work.. If not, by default Google's "OK Google" voice search maybe the culprit. Try turning it off and see if that works.. "From the home screen, hold down the menu button which should go into Google Now. Click on menu button again and select settings. Select "VOICE." Then select "Ok Google" detection. Once there, switch off the option "From any Screen." Once that is turned off. Restart phone" Reference Link: http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s4/461272-my-galaxy-s4-why-can-t-i-hear-anyone-no-one-can-hear-me-calls.html If this does not work for you, try calling your Cellular Service Provider and ask them to reset the connection on their side to your phone.,. While they do that, they may ask you to power off your phone, take out the battery, take out the SIM card, wait for at least 30 seconds before re-inserting your SIM card and battery, and then powering the phone back on

Whenever I my phone charges to 100 % the red LED light never changes to green. Why is that?

Samsung Galaxy S4: constant red light: This is an internal liquid indicator that notifies a repair center that moisture has gotten inside the phone. This could have happened if there was steam in a room like the bathroom during a hot shower.. Do you have "Light Flow" installed on your phone? If yes, uninstall it. If that fixed the problem, then you know that was the culprit. If you do not have that app.. do you have any other LED manipulating apps on your device that you downloaded onto your phone? If yes, uninstall that. If not, and you do not think the phone has been water damaged.. it may be a hardware issue.. contact your service provider local retail store (not a corporate store since they are not set up for repairs only sales) to see if you can get a replacement phone.

Changing towers

The only way to change to a different tower is to change phone AT&T carrier to Verizon carrier. The unlock code is your password. There is no unlock code to change towers. You have to cancel service at AT&T and start service at Verizon.

How to use APN

The first thing you'll need to do is find the right APN settings for the network you want to use. For example below are the APN settings for Straight Talk. Name- straight talk APN-tfdata Port-80 MMSC-http://mms-tf.net MMS Proxy-mms3.tracfone.com MMS Port-80 Once you have all this information, grab your phone. Settings>wireless/network settings. More options>mobile networks. Once you found mobile network settings, rest will be the same on all devices. Look for "Access Point Names" then tap on it. You should see a list with at least one APN. Add new. This is where you will enter the settings you got from your carriers website. 2 very important things here:
1.Not every setting in the "edit access point" screen will need filled in. 2.Be sure to type in everything exactly as provided by your carrier. Once you have settings provided by your carrier entered, you need to save the APN. You do that by pressing the 3 dots in upper right and selecting "save" option. Once your APN information is saved, go back one screen to the list we saw earlier. On this screen, tap the new APN settings you just entered to make active.
What is an APN and how do change it

1- Remove the battery. 2- Insert the battery. 3- Press Volume up + Home button + Power button (all together) 4- When the phone vibrate release the power button and keep pressing the other two buttons. 5- A service menu will show up on the screen 6- Navigate the menu with Volume Up and Volume Down and Power button to select. 7- Choose "reboot system now" 8- If the problem is not solved by now you may need to repeat the process but instead choose "wipe data/factory reset" in the menu. Beware that this option will erase everything you have in the phone like photos, files, phonebook, everything. Take care.

Tried connecting the GT-T9500 to a Lenovo (2011 Windows 7 laptop). Nothing happens. What needs to be done to transfer files from the phone to laptop. Thank you!

In your android device You should go to "Settings" then "USB computer connection" and here you can choose a mode in what your device is connecting to a PC "Media device/MTP", "Camera/PTP", or only charging mode. You should switch to MTP mode.

How do I copy a video file from my cell phone's device memory to a micro SD card?

Your video is stored on your phone's micro SD card already. Remove the micro SD card in your phone and mount it in your computer, Ipad or tablet. You may need an adapter. Once you have removed and stored the file you can transfer it to any other device or SD card or manipulate the video file in your computer. Or you can try a direct USB connection from your phone to a computer. May need an adapter cord for that. All else fails - open a free account with Dropbox and upload your video file from the phone. Store it there and distribute as you see fit. Sometimes you can send a large file with a text message, also.

I bought this phone from a private party. It is locked to T-Mobile. Is it possible to unlock? and get service elsewhere?

Your phone may or may not even work on another carrier. First you need to know the model # of the phone since there are a few different models. To get the model # swipe down from the top of the screen of your phone to get the notification tray, tap the settings gear icon in the top-right, and tap the More tab at the top. Down at the bottom, tap About device and make note of the model number. Now go to the website below and see what bands your phone uses. You can then google the carrier you're thinking about or call the carrier and see if your model phone works on their towers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S4#Model_variants It may be that all you will have to do is put in the unlock code when a new sim is inserted. You can get that code by opening the phone dialler app and punching in #7465625*638*(unlock code)# or #0111*(unlock code)#. There's one big thing to keep in mind here: you only get ten wrong guesses. Or all you may have to do is provide the IMEI # which is on the inside of the phone.
  1. Figure out if your phone will work on your new carrier.
  2. Dig up your IMEI number.
  3. Call your carrier for an unlock code, or buy one from a third party.
  4. Swap SIM cards or punch in the dial code, and type your unlock code into your phone.
