I was getting the same trouble with the "record file error" always showing up on my monitor as well, and no recordings were being written into the SD card. I tried different SD cards and the same message was appearing. I was about to pack it up and return it to the store until I did one last thing...and it worked for me! Solution: Using a paper clip, insert the end of it into the "reset" hole under the SD slot and the system will turn off, restart, and voila!...it will start recording again. I hope this helps everyone who has this similar problem out there. I guess the unit just need a good reboot and get some of the bugs out of it's system.

Check the power supply make sure it's connected properly then if plugged to an outlet you know works and it still has no power then I'd say the power supply is bad

We'll call your neighbor if u had an power outage then your system has rebooted and kick the wifi into default wich u cannot remotely view your home

You might not be able to do it. There is a very small chance that there is another label inside the unit but you'd have to take off a cover in order to find out. You can also try taking a picture of the label at different angles and under different lighting conditions. Sometimes you can read the information by zooming in on the digital picture and adjusting the contrast or white balance, or even converting it to a negative sometimes works to bring out the faded information... This method unfortunately doesn't work well on foil labels where there is shiny foil showing through the label.

As this is a discontinued product, your best option for obtaining a pigtail is probably going to be to buy a used camera from someplace like eBay...

This UID code can be found on the back of your handheld monitor behind the kickstand or mount. It is the characters underneath the barcode. You also can find the UID code on the Network Information screen.

Considering this unit is nearly 8 years old, you would be hard-pressed to find compatible wireless cameras. UDWC25 and UNDGC45 cameras are compatible. Neither is made any longer.
