Dryer starts cycle, but only runs 3 or 4 minutes and ends cycle.

Does your timer cycle, if not I would start there.

My Samsung front load

Hi Jolene...You could have numerous problems causing your dryer not to heat.
I included some things to try and locate the problem part.
You can buy the parts needed on the following websites or numerous other website that sell parts.
http://www.partselect.com/
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks.
If this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the
wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed
component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame.
Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.
Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed.
If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause
heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the
thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors. Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape
or with an ohm meter to test the thermostat/thermistor. (Should have/show continuity)
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
(Thermal fuse.If it overheats the dryer will not operate. It's located on the blower housing. It cannot be reset. A vent clogged
with lint can cause it to overheat. You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it)
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST.
This could cause a FIRE, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's
plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.

My drum dryer is making noise when spinning

Your best option is to get a technician to look at it and quote for a repair. A squeaky drum could be anything from the dryer not positioned level, a worn drive belt slipping, a worn out drum bearing or worn motor.

Samsung Dryer dv42h5200ep/a3 Stuck On Cooling

According to a post on applianceblog.com, this issue could be caused by a blocked vent or vent hose, which can trigger the HE error. You can start by checking if the vent and vent hose are not blocked. If that's not the issue, you can try measuring the voltage across RY5, RY6, and RY7 on the main power board during a normal dry cycle. If there is no voltage, you may need to replace the control panel . If you're looking for more information on troubleshooting your Samsung dryer, appliancepartspros.com has a comprehensive guide that lists common symptoms and their causes for your model .

Samsung error code DE can't clear it?

Since you had a garment get caught in the door, check the hinges and the door latch and striker. Something could be damaged, bent, loose or deformed. You may be able straighten the part or replace the specific part to get the door to close properly. A problem with the door switch or the wiring is also possible. However, I wouldn't check that the switch is not providing the locked signal to the control board until the door closes with the correct alignment of the latch. If you do need to check the wiring, see https://fleetappliance.com/dryer-repair/how-to-fix-samsung-dryer-error-code-de/ for accessing the lock mechanism. I hope this helps. For further information, including a check for a parts list, please add a comment with the model number of your dryer. Cindy Wells

Samsung Dryer DV203AEW/XAC blowing fuses and seemingly too hot?

A newer element will only cause it to run too hot if it was a hotter element (more kilowatts) than the old one. Over heating problems are usually caused by poor air flow. If you got as far as the element you must have cleaned all the INTERNAL ductwork and the fan itself? EXTERNALLY, the exhaust hose should be as short as possible and without bends. Also check the duct through the wall, and check that the louvres on the outside are opening fully when the dryer is running. Birds love to make nests in there unless you have a cage on the outer vent. If it is 7 years old, it might just be time to invest in a new one. Having said that, my Whirlpool is 15 years old. ..

Samsung Model Number DV56H9000EP/A2 and or Serial Number 0BG95AEF700081W the check filter light is on and start button doesn't start the drum to turning

It's most likely the thermistor... Ck here... https://www.repairclinic.com/ProductDetail/2160011 But before you start throwing parts at it give them a call @ their 800#. Their Techs and install videos with the parts are helpful. I'm NOT affiliated in any way with them. Just have used them in repairing our appliances and they've been helpful. Best to you.

My Samsung dryer (DV40J3000EW/A2) is not drying clothes all the way!

Question edited for spelling 'Lent' to 'Lint'. The auto dry feature uses a humidistat to sense the amount of moisture in the air as it is exiting the dryer. The thermistor / thermostat is a heat sensing device and that is the one to change first. If inaccurate it cuts the heat off to soon resulting in a warm heat drying cycle instead of HOT. There are two other devices, a thermal fuse which will cut power when the dryer over heats and it doesn't sound like yours is. Finally there is a Thermal Cut Out, and when it overheats so badly the fuse breaks and has to be renewed. The other thing to check is the the vent outside is clear of lint and that the flap or grille vents are opening fully when the dryer is running.. Good videos, and the second video shows testing components.

Our samsung heatpump dryer dv90h8000hw has a HE error that a technician cleared by pressing two buttons when he came out to look at it. I forgot what the key combination was and how to reset it.

Try this. Hold down wrinkle prevent and dry level and time at the same time whilst turning it on

Diane, Fisrt try this fixes a few of these issues.... Unplug it (or turn off power at the circuit breaker), wait some time for the electrical charge to clear out of the dryer (usually 1 to 5 minutes at most), and then power it up again.

Hi i have samsung dryer it work fine but it doesn't dry sheets and blanket verry well??

This can be because blankets and sheets tend to absorb more water and do not dry well in a spin dryer. Check that your spin cycle on the washer is putting out enough spin to centripetal dry your blankets and sheets.
