3. In the "Magix Download" window, enter the displayed code in the slot provided and click on
"Download" underneath.
4. New text appears. Click on the word "here".
5. A "File download" window appears. Click on "Save". When the "Save As" window appears,
choose the destination you want the file to be saved in.
6. Click on "Save". The document will be saved as an Adobe document (pdf format). You can now
access it at the destination you indicated.

Close the program, then start it again with your project. Go directly to edit mode. Immediately remove the last clip (the audio and video) then save the project. Do not do other operations. Exit the program, and start it again. Try working with the project up to that point. If you still have a problem, try this out. Load your project and while it's on the time line slide the red start marker across the files, when you hit the bad one it should give you an error. Also clean out all the files MEP creates in the folders where you have your video/audio/pix files. Then reboot and start again after you remove the bad file

it loos like you might have to coppy all the clippings that you have made the film with on to the disk too.
(Also make sure that you are not burning shortcuts onto ur disk)

You have to import the DVD, after you have click on the start page to create a new movie. In the workspace area, you will see the drives on your computer. Select the DVD drive and it should show the files on the DVD disc. Then import them into the work area. You can then drag the files to the timeline area.

Magix software can be fickle at times. All I can suggest is that you are very careful with files and directories associated with the working files of the software. One tiny change will produce a file not found response. You can sometimes manually take it the missing file, but it's messy. I suggest that any outputted files are not directly changed, but left where they are. If you want to do with something afterwards create a new folder and copy the files you want into that folder. Then change those files. If you look at the original files that you worked on, you will see around four files near it. Deleting any of these files will produce that response. If you alter any of the original files you worked, you will get the same response. Because the Magix files around it will no longer match with the file you altered.

Contact Magix. If you can prove you purchased it they shouldn't charge you to activate it.

On the timeline mode you will see all the tracks laid out. At the start of each one you will see a load of icons - S M and a padlock. On the video track make certain the M (for mute) is not selected. To be certain press play on the video monitor screen and then click the M for the video track. If it was selected the picture should come back. If that isn't the problem it might be that your computer doesn't have the memory to cope with the video editing software. You can check this out by looking at the bottom left of the timeline mode screen. You will see the word CPU. When the video plays the number will increase. If it goes above 50 you might have problems. If it is at 70+ you have serious memory problem dealing with videos.

Do yourself a favour and get a new one i just bought a new Sony DVD copier the other week $24 so cheap now days and will fix ya problem......cheers

I'm afraid there is no way to install a program and not have the serial number. if you bought it online, the company may have emailed the serial number to you.

Well, there's no actual solutions for this problem (as far as I know and from the Magix's knowledge base), but you can work around with the program.
First of all create a new project with different video clips or photos and see if it works or no.
Secondly, try if you could export the project in another format eg, .AVI or MPEG2 etc...
If the problem still persists, reset the program, you can do this by clicking the "Reset" button after opening the "Settings" window. If the problem still persists, re-install the program, that should fix the problem.
In case the problem persists even after it's been re-installed, then the problem could be codec issue, install a free codec package like Klite Mega codec pack.
