No matter what I connect to the monitor, it goes
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

Monitor will not come on
Try a different power-cable.
Try connecting to a different power-socket in the wall.
Take the unit to a qualified TV/video repair shop, for professional trouble-shooting and repair.

What is hooked to it? VGA or DVI
and is the unit that you want to view is i on?
If DVD or computer not working or set up properly. your monitor will not see or recongnize anything then shut down.

This is one of the problems with the wide aspect screen. Most images seem to fit best on the older monitors.
You can go into the video properties and choose one the the display types that best display your image. Unfortunately, by taking a normal (to us) image that looked just fine on an older monitor and displaying it on a newer, wide-aspect monitor, you're gonna distort the image or crop it in a way you didn't expect.
My advice is to experiment with the display until you find something you can live with.

In this case please check in BIOS mode whether there is same issue or not. If you are using Laptop please check with external monitor and make sure it is woring fine. If you are using desktop please check by another monitor.If not you can check by updating your video driver.

You need to set the resolution, of your desktop to a higher one, say 800x600. This will make it much better. BUT remember, a TV is NOT a monitor, it isn't meant to be used as one, really the only thing they are good for is watching movies.As the Pixels are too large, and make windows look Jaggy..
