If you were using the computer at the time, it may be a cable/plug/socket failure. Try a different cable.

If you were watching a movie, you may want to check your screen saver settings. Try doing what you were doing and see if it disconnects after a specific time (so if your screensaver is set to 10 minutes, does your TV lose signal after 10 minutes?).

try to remove the battery then connect the power an try to on the laptop if it works then shutdown the laptop an reconnect the battery then on,if not then if possible remove the memory from back portion by removing the screw then clean the memory an put it back if not sorted the u have to take it to a Toshiba service center ,the cost for the system board may be some ten to twelve thousand rupees

Welcome to Fixya

This error message usually cause by a boot sector infected by virus, a device driver that the computer boot controller needs is corrupted, hardware issue if there is a resource conflict between the boot controller and another controller or between SCSI devices. If you have the XP cd you may use the cd's repair optiong to fix this problem. If it wont let you do that then the last option you have is to reinstall windows operating system to your computer.

What I would do first is, try to install and test it with yahoo messenger and try to see if you can connect to any of your friends. Do you have the software install to run the webcam?

Hi,

Can you check whether you Disc Drive is well connected ?

to check the device :


Right click on my Computer

Select Properties

Hardware devices

Device Manage :


Check your Dvd/cd drives.. whether everything is connected.


If not try re-installing the device or to update it.

or try this

go to start
right click on my computer
click on manage
then click on storage
then click on disk management
then right click on your device and select add letters and path
window will pop up then click on add
the select an alphabet and click on ok

If the reading is also bad, then you have a hardware problem. Try to get a lens-cleaning disk, or clean the lens yourself VERY softly. If that won't work, you'll have to replace it.

the dvd that came with you computer is a recovery disc ; to recover your computer as new as you bougth it ;so to do so ; restart your com ;change the boot options to boot from the dvd first and follow what the dvd says and excuse my english

If you want to play DVDs from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software (Passkey for DVD) that allows you to play DVDs from any region and Passkey for Blu-ray that allows you to play Blu-rays from any region.
There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free

Hello,
Do you have a wifi card in the computer? It is a hardware part that you need so that the computer can connect to the wifi. If you have that but can't find it in the operating system. I suggest that you either install or update the driver for it.
You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for the available updates of your wifi driver. Make sure that you connect to the internet first using your ethernet so that it will detect the available driver updates somewhere in the databases of the manufacturer.
