SOLUTIONS:
Try to replace with another battery and check if its working or not else do the following
====================================
Try the following.
1. Remove battery and plug in the AC Adapter and check if it works
If yes - AC Adapter works fine
If no - defective AC Adpater
2. Check the AC adapter LED indicator if its lighted or not(double check by a multitester)
If lighted - it works properly
if not - replace
3. Try to reinstall WINDOWS operating system by the use of the installer CD
4. If problem persist - the motherboard might be defective.

Use the Driver Genius Professional Software to get the updated drivers for ur pc

Please double check that your VGA cable is working properly and you have installed the most updated version of video drivers.
Is the TV not even playing the sound? Are you on the right channel? Only try checking the sound on a AV channel by using a headphone jack to AV jack cable.
If you have a S-Video port try connecting with it you can get that cable for a buck in a dollar store.

You can try reinstalling the driver. I'm not sure how old your computer is or how much use it's had, it could be that the touch pad is worn out and needs to be replaced. You could try using a plug in mouse or track ball. Track balls work better with a laptop and are more like using a touch pad.

you should be able to get a VGA Lead that you can plug into your laptop and the other end of the VGA cable into the VGA input on the TV
ON the TV :- Select the PC input ON the LAPTOP :- use the FN + one of the F keys, these vary by manufacture but F4 or F5 - look for a symbol of a Screen - each time you press this F+F? key, this will then toggle the out put to <Laptop><Laptop and TV out ><TV out >

Try repositioning the screen in different angles. If it clears up even if only for a minute, the it is most likely the cable or ribbon cable running from the LCD to the motherboard. If not, It may still be a broken wire in the bundle or something more serious like the inverter card or the video chip. The wires on the bundle usually break over time at the point where the bundle runs up by the hinge of the LCD.

Hello,

Is it the cmos settings you are referring to or the hardware itself?

For the Cmos setting, restart your laptop and enter the bios setup to adjust cmos setting.

But if it is the cmos battery itself, then you have the lose the laptop with a screw driver because the cmos is on the motherboard of the laptop which is located inside.

Shut down your laptop, remove the battery, remove the Ram and Cd/DVD drive before you begin to loose the laptop.

Loose out all screws both down part of the laptop, you might not need to loose the screws on the screen.

After loosing the laptop, you will find the cmos on the motherboard.

I'm trying to restore my toshiba A205-s5804 but i don't have the disc. Can i restore it with out the cd?

Restore the PC in safe mode

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.

First of your information/post is extremely confusing!! But I will try to help. You said you change to windows xp my so i guess you are missing the wireless driver for your wireless card here is the link for that card. All you have to do is select your operating system and sound from the drop down menu, then click download to save the driver on your desktop then install it.

If the recovery CD is not working contact the manufacturer for a new one. Also most laptops and desktops these days usually come with a small partition for reinstalling the operating system. You can access that partition by pressing a combination of keys on your keyboard. if you don't have that partition ask a friend for a copy of windows or order another disk from your manufacturer.
