Hello,

Install RadarSync and scan your computer with it. It sounds like a driver related issue so RadarSync can help you with that. Update the driver of sound using Radarsync.

I hope this helps!

No Bull, no internal upgrading.

One may be led to think so, due to computer manufacturers just abusing the heck out of their 'Advertising license'.

The motherboard chipset is an Intel GM965,

Try ejecting it through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and select "eject". If you can't locate the drive, then it's probably missing the driver.

I have had this happen before. THIS link will help you diagnose your problem, but it is most likely that your hard drive is bricked.

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop I would suggest using Kill CMOS software from Hiren's Boot CD to wipe the BIOS.

Hi,Can you see the Drive when you open My Computer?try accessing it with a Disc inside,if it takes a rather long time to read or tells you drive is not responding after series of test with different Discs, then these could be as a result of the Drive failing, then i'd suggest you get a Replacement

Hi,

There may be various reasons for this issue. We have a lot to try. I will suggest some troubleshooting steps, please try to out. Restart the computer and press and hold the F2 key and check if the computer boots to BIOS. If it boots, the issue is not with the screen. You can restart again and press and hold the F10 key, this will access the Recovery partition, from there either you can run a System Restore or a System Recovery to resolve the issue.

If the computer is not able to access the BIOS, then the issue is most probably with the hardware. But, I will suggest that you reset the RAM modules and try again, if the RAM modules or not properly seated, this may happen. If the issue persist even after this, hold a torch light towards the LCD screen after starting the computer, if you are able to view the screen in that light, the LCD back light is gone and a replacement will be required.

For service you may contact any hardware vendor or Sony service center.

Hope this helps and don't forget to rate me.

Thanks!!!!

I'm sorry. It is not possible to upgrade the Inbuilt Video card. However, the Computer is shipped with the Express Card/54 slot. You can contact your nearest favorite dealer to get the Express Card slot supported Video card and install in the Computer. This improves the Graphic performance.

You should restore and/or reformat it after you take the info off it. You will have to get another copy of your operating system if you don't have a restore disc.

Hi,
Acer are having the same problem with some of their laptops not working properly when it's hot and humid.
I recommend that you send the laptop back and swap it for a different model as there seems to a fault with certain models.
If you have any data stored on the laptop back it all up before you send the unit back to Sony.
I know it's not the answer that you are looking for but you will be stuck with that computer having the same problem if you don't sent it back to Sony within a year of purchase.

Regards.
