The download up date erased every thing such as all motels resturants etc only thing left was locations i keyed in cannot key in new locations

Force a repeat of the main software update through Garmin Express. You may need to do it several times before it will "take".

Keeps rebooting don't pass the flash screen. Garmin Express doesn't recognize the device. Hard reset is not recognized. How to proceede?

How to removin battery from Garmin 1390t

You need electronic skills to open this GPS device. Be aware that the battery can be glued in the housing. The best thing you can do is visit ifixit.com and see id they have a manual, video or something else, where it shows how to open the 1390. There you also can order spare parts and tools if you need it.

1390 battery removal\

Please don't attempt this yourself. You risk damaging the outer and inner bezel, stripping the case threads and damaging the LCD display that sits over the battery and printed circuit board.
