I have a sylvania lc320slx

The solution will be to replace the inverter board. This is a common failure in this TV. Power supply start up resistors on the inverter board, R1943, R1944, R1945 may be open or have changed values. The values of each should be R1943 at 330K, R1944 at 330 and R1945 at 39. These are ohms of course. If the original values of these resistors are different, please use the values I gave you. Of course this info is good if you want to rework the original board. In many cases the inverter board may be replaced. The inverter part number you need, will be located on the board. Look for numbers A91 or A94, these are prefixes. They are followed by 10 more numbers and letters. Show this note to a TV repair shop. knowlege in this area will save you a few bucks. That's why you asked me. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Sylvania lc320slx lcd power light goes one then off

I recently repaired this exact TV that sounds like the exact problem. First you can take the back off and unplug everything from the Inverter board. Then try to power on the TV and if the green light comes on, and stays on, then you know the problem is in the inverter board. My problem was in the inverter and I found Q1500 (N Channel MOSFET) shorted Gate, Drain, and Source together. It's a simple part to replace but a difficult part to find. If you need help finding the part, I can direct you to the place I got mine for $3 and $8 shipping. Just for safe measure I also replaced Q1550 that is the same exact part on that board.

This tv scans through all inputs. What do I need

Hello; If the set scans the inputs by itself and you can't stop it there are only 3 things you can try. Take the batteries out of the remote control to see if it stops. The next is to take apart the set to see if the input select button is shorted or " wedged " on , if the set even has this button on it. I also assumed you " Replugged the set" If not , probably you should replace the set. John

The control on the television itself is probably dirty or malfunctioning. Unplug the television and remove the back. Find the board underneath the buttons on the TV and gently clean off any dirt using rubbing alneeded and cotton swabs if needed.

Black screen ecept for thin white line around all

I found the solution on mine. To restate, I just saw a thin white border around a black screen. Pressing the channel up or down buttons changed the screen, in some kind of test mode to shades of gray, and red, green, and blue. I started finding a solution when I noticed when on one of the color screens, that the volume up or down buttons brought up a new menu for color intensity. Finally, I got back to the thin white border screen and pressed the arrow keys in the top half of the remote. Finally a TV screen and I pressed the enter key! Voila!

Sylvania tv says format not supported when ps3 is

If it's one of the original PS3's (might be the same for the new) you can hold the power button down when you're powering it up until it beeps and then let go of the power button. This will make the PS3 search for what video devices are plugged in. If you're using the HDMI it will say "An available HDMI device was detected. Do you want to output video and audio using HDMI?", and you wan to say YES. Then it will automatically set the resolution (should set to 1080i) and give you 30 seconds to confirm the video works by saying YES again. This TV will not support a 1080p output so if you try to change the PS3 to 1080p resolution it will not work.

I have also received this message when I had a bad HDMI cable.
