I finally have spoken to a very nice youn guy from Sonim Tech Support. He fixed my problem of the phone not turning on.

1. Take out the battery, plug in the mains charger and leave for a few minutes (they say 10 but it took my phone a couple of hours).

2. Eventually the charging symbol will come on the screen, either stady or flashing.

3. Immediately put the battery in the carcass (while it is still connected to the charger), and the charging symbol should stay on.

4. Leave the phone for a couple of hours, disconnect the charger, and the phone should turn on as normal.

This was explained to me, the reason for not turning on was that the software had crashed. This solved it.

Hi,am sure it's related to your sim card (network), not your samsung cell phone. In most cases, regarding mms messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the sim card on another phone? If not, remove the sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise versa by inserting another sim card on your mobile.

If you can't receive mms messages even it's inserted on another handset, then you need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).

if the same sim card doesn't receive mms messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

I bought one of the JCB Tradesman Toughphones off e-bay and had the same issue.I notice that newly created contacts work fine. The problem is with about 90% of the contacts that were on the sim card even if I moved them to phone memory. If I open each contact and resave it with a dot or something after the name it works fine and then displays the callers/texters name ok. It's a bit laborious to go through them all one by one but it's a once off chore

ive got the same bloody problem... the caller id wont show when someone rings me... how do i get this to work ?

Hi, the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone, now when the sim card was new you would have been given the unique PUK code written on the card the sim card was attatched to.
if you no longer have this card then the only other place you can get this code from is your service provider, all you need to do is call them and give them either the phone number of the sim card or give them the number written on the back of the sim card, they will give you this code over the phone for free.
the other option you have open to you is if you dont need to use the sim card thats asking for the PUK code then you can go out and get another sim card and this will come with its own unique PUK code.
please dont try guessing the PUK code as it can be up to 11 digits long and they are totally random so guessing is beyond the question

Have you been able to try another charger? Is it getting warm? If not, replace it. I would think that within 28 days if any part is wrong they replace the whole lot so probably best to go back to place you got it and get a brand new replacement.

Remove battery,attach and switch on charger,for about 10mins or until charge mode displays,should flash.Insert battery, donot disconnect charger,leave for 2 hours,disconnect charger ,phone should switch on.

thee are two things involved, its either the battery is very flat such that it cannot be woken/charged or the charger of your brand new sonim xp3.2 is defective.

Maybe you should look for someone that can borrow you a changer, and test it with your new Sonim or test your charge with another person's Sonim. This will reveal if the problem is from the battery or not.

Or, if you bought it and its still under warranty, you can return it and collect another. If it was given to you, contact the person that gave it to you, as it might be under warranty.

All you need to do is contact your phone provider for an unlock code to this issue. If your unable to contact them, you may download an approved list from the internet to use while attempting to unlock the cell phone again.
