This was a $1500 camera with the kit lens. It's certainly worth fixing if you still love it. If you secretly want a brand new camera, then "I would throw out this piece of junk";) Or, get the new camera and get this one fixed for a back-up.

Sounds like a shutter problem...if this is a new camera, return it or take advantage of the warranty.

This company does a great job at that and is reliable. make sure you tell them what happened for that helps a full diagnosis.

if you are attempting this on your own, make sure you have all the appropriate tools and wear the equipment that will prevent an electrostatic shock to yourself and worse off to the camera.

The reader in the camera has gone bad. You can get it repaired by anyone who fixes camera's or by sending it to Canon which will cost you more then finding someone in your home town that repairs cameras. Just FYI the repair is somewhat costly roughy 150 dollars or so

Basically no. You need the pins to connect to the memory card to transfer and store photos from the camera to the card. There is no simple way to bypass it unless the camera can also use another type of memory card, in which case you use that second slot.

You can't replace this yourself. Let a trained service tech fix it.

Have a look at the pins at the back of the memory card reader. You may need a torch to see to the back. My kids stuck something in my computer card slot and bent the pins so my cards would not read.

Unfortunately, per the problem description, it seems your camera has an internal malfunction in either the main board or the DC/Dc converter printer cicuit boards.

In order to perform a correct diagnostics and repair of it, it is necessary to open such camera and perform it by a qualified camera repair technician.

If it's under warranty, I do recommend you to send it back to make valid the warranty.

If not, then you have the option of pay for its repair.

If you ligthly press the shutter button then the screen with the settings must appear. The same with the "Q" button.

It can happen if you are in the Auto-No Flash mode. Or if the flash release button is stuck. Contact customer service, and have a pro take a look at your camera.

It can be fixed - what you have to decide is if the repair cost is cost effective. Because if you can get a new camera for about the same price as a repair, then .....................

it will work with your rebel t3 just set the flash on manual mode and adjust the desired flash power needed .

Try a different lens. Either the lens is bad or the connections are dirty.
