Error code F760 GE profile oven
Hello. The error code refers to a defective keypad. I will absolutely need the entire model number(ex JS968BF1BB thru 6BB, JS968BK1BB thru 5BB, JS968KF1CC thru 6CC, JS968KK1CC thru KK5CC, JS968SF1SS thru SF6SS), and there are a few more model series. The part mounting, etc. is basically the same--HOWEVER, depending on the model, the part number is different. (example JS968BF1BB touch panel is WB27T10439. JS968BK1BB touch panel is WB27T10751 and so on). Just looking on the net, I saw prices for this part in the neighborhood of +/- 200.00. Shop carefully for the best price--If you are hesitant about replacing the panel yourself, DEFINITELY CALL FOR SERVICE. Your range has several microprocessor controlled boards. I have replaced a fair amount of them--and no, they aren't bad or anything like that either. If you're going to do it yourself, take pix as you go, make a diagram if needed for the screw locations, etc. ALWAYS REMOVE POWER FROM THE RANGE BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR TOOLS AND STARTING WORK!! GE Profile electric range: I'm getting an F0
Hi greengib,

The Failure code "F0" description is a stuck touchpad. Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

I removed my oven control
The control panel is the heart of the range that controls every functions that needs to be used. Have you tried disconnecting it from the power supply for 30 min, this may reset it after all the stored power is dissipated, but not likely and you can also try pressing of the clear/off button to clear the display. Most likely you got some cleaner into the display and this can ruin them. These things are fragile and excess pressure can also cause them to fail.
Please make sure you have all the connections back in the corrct locations and nothing got left unplugged or loose. If this does not fix the panel then I would say it may be dead.
If you think it got wet, you can try drying it out for a couple of days to ensure it is indeed dry and then reconnect it, sometimes miricales happen. As far a the fee, that is determined by Fix Ya when you signed up, I don't controll that.

It is NOT normal. You probably have a wiring problem - check for bad contacts in the plug, socket, circuit breaker, or the controller switch. Also look at the wiring to the heating element. If at any place you see signs of significantly overheated insulation on the wiring, you're probably looking at the bad contact. Clean the contact with dry Scotch-Brite, or if it is corroded or otherwise damaged, replace. If the insulation on the wire is hard and brittle, you will have to cut it back and replace the terminal, or replace the wire if it no longer reaches. (If you elect to splice the wire, make sure the new piece has at least the same current, voltage and temperature rating as the original, and use a splice listed for the same.)
