Sounds like igniter problem. Did some one pull the electrical cord or has a fuse or breaker blown/ Things to check. Your igniter is run by electricity.

Look to see if coiled gas line is vibrating against back of stove. (Or try pulling stove forward a bit). Otherwise, you are probably correct about a transformer. It can be ''defective'' and still work.

Spark module part no 318 at parts diagram it may be wet and by using a hair dryer or leave it unplug for some days can dry out and stop. If not then the electric contacts are stuck and need a new spark module

There is a switch that slides onto the shaft for each burner. When you turn the knob to a certain area it completes the circuit to the ignitor module. It sounds like you have a shorted switch. Unfortunately with most 'cooktops', these are not easy to get to.

It's also strange that only 2 are igniting, usually one module runs all the ignitors. When you turn one of the non-problem burners on, does it click when it supposed to and stop when it's supposed to?

The ignitors running constantly is annoying and may damage the module, but should not be dangerous unless you have other issues, ie., fuel leaks.

If you have access to basic hand tools and a multimeter I can walk you through the diagnosis.

Hi,The lock switch will need to be replaced. Lock switch, the switch has failed and causes the buzzer to run. Not a difficult repair but the top will need to be remover to fix this. This is not advisable to repair if your not knowledgeable with the installation part of this unit. Hi,
I would clean the electrodes on the burners really good, sometimes they seem not to sense heat from the burner and will not turn off the ignition system. Other times I fond bad grounds to the cooktop or outlet that can cause the same issue. The electrodes since heat from the burners to shut down the inanition system, also with out a good ground this system is impossible to work correctly.

The igniter switch is located just below the knobs, If you pull the knob off and look in the hole that the shaft comes through, you will see the igniter switch, To replace them you will need to remove the cook top and flip it over and remove the cover section so that you can get to the back of the controls

no,its a bad switch on one of the gas valves,they are piggybacked on the gas valve and are supposed to turn on and off as the valve is turned on and off,on has broken and is on all the time even with that valve in the off position,carefully remove each switch from the circuit till it no longer sparks with all the valves in the off position

I just solved the continuous sparking in my gas burner. I removed the control knobs and the rubber below those knobs. Gave the rubber and the area below it a good clean using kitchen and bath cleaning wipes that I bought from Coles. The key is to remove the water and grease from the rubber and the area below it. Good luck!
