Backside of motherboard fried near relay on ge
The board could have simply failed. However, the compressor should be checked thoroughly before replacing it since it's pricey.
A service tech, would first test to make sure, none of the windings are grounded. This is done by removing the relay and overload mounted on the compressor, then checking each pin of the compressor to ground (bare copper tubing) with an ohm meter. Each pin should show near infinity.
Then he would connect a start cord designed specifically for compressor running, and run the compressor independent of the rest of the machine.
If it runs O.K. he would then test the overload and relay before calling the compressor O.K.
It has to be your call, as to how you want to proceed.
The price of the board being the big issue.

New GE GNE27JYMFS refrigerator revs every 10 seconds or so
Please ensure that the door is properly closed and that there are no leaks. You can also ensure that the temperatures are no colder than is required to cool or freeze your food as a very low temperature would require more work/energy from the fridge. Lastly, you can power cycle the fridge once and if it continues with the issue, you can return it.
GE Monogram Refrigerator Leaks Water
The defrost drain would be causing the fridge to have water leaking out of it and you will need to also clean the defrosting drain as well or need to replace it.
GE model GSL25JFPD freezer stoope working. Can anyone help?
please make sure that temperature controls are set to the temperature that you want. Then, you'll want to double check that the power outlets that the freezer is plugged into still give out power by testing other appliances on them.
If the outlets don't work, then you would want to check the corresponding fuse in your fusebox because it might have switched off and just needs to be switched back.
GE Fridge will not stop flashing zeros diagnostic
I had the same problem. The cause is the digital display is not communicating with the motherboard. What had happened in my case is the plug connection between the door's digital display and the motherboard had become unplugged. The wire running from the motherboard runs below the fridge, and connects via plug located along the bottom of the fridge below the freezer door, connecting to the wire running from the display to the bottom of the freezer door. I just reconnected it and that reset the display. Glad for it too, I thought I needed a new $130 motherboard! Hope this helped!
